Izuku’s POV: I groaned as I was slowly getting up from the floor recovering from what had just happened.
Izuku: what just happened?
I check myself over to make sure nothing was broken fortunately nothing below my neck seemed different, but once I raised my hands to check my head something was wrong
Izuku: what the? What’s up with my hair?
It felt thicker and spikier, almost like that of a hedgehogs quills.
???: wow that’s an on the nose guess wasn’t it.
I panicked, looking around the room to see where the voice was coming from before my eyes landed on a transparent, bipedal, blue hedgehog.

... Izuku: AAAHHH! *runs away from hedgehog*
As I’m running I didn’t notice at first in the house, but once I did I saw how I was somehow running as fast as a bullet train beside me, freaking out I turned round a corner to an alleyway... And landed face first in a pile of garbage
Izuku: *groaning while taking a banana peel off his head* what is happening to me?
???: if you don’t freak out again I can tell you.
The hedgehog was sitting on a fire escape above me before it jumped down infront of me.
Izuku: *nervously* who or what are you and how did I run so fast?
Sonic: the name is sonic, the fastest thing alive and I am *looking at himself* Well I’m not really sure what I am right now.
Izuku: what do you mean?
Sonic: in all truth kid I don’t even know how I got in that chaos emerald all I remember was a candle light going out and that I will have to wait for someone worthy to wield my power.
Izuku: what emerald?
Sonic: you know the emerald you touched? Ringing any bells? *knocks on my head, but his hand goes right through me*
Izuku: yeah that’s not a emerald that’s a diamond *deadpan*
Sonic: oh ok, you see the “diamond” is actually called a chaos emerald. I know it doesn’t make sense, but it’s just what it’s been called for centuries now. By the way the new hairdo suits you *snickers*
Izuku: wait what?
I pulled out my phone and put it on selfie mode to see my hair changed colour from black and green to dark blue and green
Izuku: what the?
Sonic: I think transferring my powers over probably changed a few things about you.
Izuku: wait I have powers?!
Sonic: yeah, kid how do you think you could run that fast.
Izuku: ‘then that means’ I have a quirk!
I was so happy that I was crying my signature midoriya tears, this made Sonic uncomfortable due to how long I was going for.
Sonic: ok kid, cool the water works would ya.
Izuku: sorry *sniff* it’s just my whole life I’ve wanted to be a hero and no one has told me I could until now.
Sonic: *curious* what do you mean?
And I told him everything, the fateful day at the doctors, my best friend turned bully and even how everyone turned their back on me. Suffice to say, but Sonics expression went from curious to enraged, to the point I could see fire in his eyes.
Sonic: I can’t believe, people would do that! Oh yeah, I’m just going to treat people like dirt because of a slight difference, I just- AAGGHH!
He rushed over to a trash can nearby and tried to kick a nearby bin. Key word is tried, as he kept on phasing through it, so after about five minutes I walked over and pushed it over for him.
Sonic: thank you *exhausted*
Izuku: your welcome, so now what?
Sonic: well, if you’re gonna want to be a hero then you’re going to need to learn how you work and I’m gonna help you.
I smiled the biggest smile in the world knowing that I could finally be the hero I always wanted to be and I had a mentor to teach me.
