The warm water sprinkled down my face. I closed my eyes and let all of my stress wash off of me. The Avengers and I just came back from a week long mission last night. I moved the hair off of my face, and I could already feel my spirit lifting.
Sleeping in my old bedroom felt nice. I put some shampoo in my hair and started washing. It's been five or so months since I've seen my brothers. I miss them, but I know I'm needed here. When we aren't needed on missions, I've been working my butt off, along with everyone else, with training.
I can now do three things at a time with my power, and Natasha has been training me on hand to hand combat. I appreciate all the new skills I've been taught, and everyone else couldn't be prouder. They are starting to feel like family to me.
Three loud bangs came from the door. I've only been in here for a few minutes. "Finishing up!" I yell at the knocker. I don't know what the sudden rush is. Maybe a new mission. It wouldn't be the first time that we went from mission to mission.
"Hurry up! Someone's here to meet you!" It was Natasha. I started to wonder who it was. "Ok, thanks, Nat!" I paced as I rinsed the soap from my body. Was it just one person or my brothers? Or was it just an excuse for me to get out of the shower so someone else could? (Speaking from experience)
I needed to shave my legs, but I think I can go another day, famous last words. I hop out of the shower and grab my towel. One around my body and one around my hair. I open the bathroom door and pace to my room. It was so much colder out here than in the bathroom.
Natasha stops me. "He's down in the kitchen. Good luck pulling him away from Steve and Tony." I see something in the corner of my eye. I turn around to see Clint running into the bathroom and locking the door behind him. "Jerk." I say under my breath.
I walked back into my room. 'Good luck pulling him away from Steve and Tony'? What's that supposed to mean..? I dry my body off and place my undergarments on. Next, a hoodie and joggers. My hair was still damp, but I'll let it hair dry.
I comb it out and exit my room. I get into the elevator and press the next floor down. I didn't feel like walking. All of a sudden, it hit me who was here. I didn't wait for the elevator; I teleported excitedly into the kitchen. There he was, Thor Odinson! Tony, Steve, and Thor slightly jumped from the sudden presence.
I was surprised Tony and Steve weren't used to it by now, but they were busy talking to Thor. "It's so nice to meet you, Thor." I say with a smile. He returned one. "Nice to meet you too. It's Y/n, right?"
"Yep!""No last name?" Thor asks. He placed his hammer on the counter. "I don't know my last name. Never had one as far as I'm concerned."
Thor glanced at Steve and Tony, wanting to understand. "Y/n has had a rocky past. She doesn't remember her parents."
"Oh, how sad."I just stood there awkwardly waiting for the adults to stop talking. I guess this is what Natasha was warning me about. "So what brings you to Earth, big guy?" Tony asks with a drink in his hand. "I thought I'd come visit my dear friends. Saving Earth shouldn't be my only excuse for seeing you all."
"And you know, I was excited to meet the newest Avenger. Lady Y/n!" He motioned his hand towards me. Steve and Tony both glanced at me. "So tell me, what are your abilities?" Thor asks, intrigued. I clear my throat. "I actually don't know all of my abilities. I'm just powerful in a lot of different ways."
"Like what?" He asks even more curious. I blow a raspberry. "Uh, well," I think for a moment. "Try to throw your hammer at me." I say. He chuckles lightly. "That's not a normal hammer, kid." Tony warns. "Yeah, I know the legend. Unless worthy, you can't wield the hammer. That's not what I'm doing. Just throw it at me."
"Are you sure about this?" Thor picks his hammer up from the counter. "I don't want to hurt you the same day I meet you."
"I'll be fine. Just throw it." Thor looked at Steve and Tony for approval. Tony stepped out of the way, and Steve shrugged his shoulders. "Ok," Thor hesitates for a moment, but he throws it right at my chest.I form purple in my hands and put my hands out. The hammer disappeared when I closed my hands. "Where is it?" Thor asks, confused. "Just wait for it." Tony ensures. I drop my hands, and my eyes turn purple. The hammer drops on the counter where it was. Steve gives me a proud smile. "Good job, kid." Tony says. Thor picks his hammer up.
"You can control your powers well, lady Y/n. Impressive." I smile. "Thank you."
