"Sarim-ah! Hide!" Sunghoon urged, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards a small storage closet just beside the room.

Before Sarim could react, they slipped inside, Sunghoon closing the door softly behind them. The closet was cramped, barely enough space for the two of them, and Sarim found herself pressed against the wall, with Sunghoon standing closely beside her.

Her heart raced at their closeness. The air felt thick, and she could feel the warmth radiating off him. She was acutely aware of every little movement, her breath quickening as she tried to remain quiet.

Sunghoon placed a finger over his lips, signaling her to stay silent. Sarim nodded, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks. But as they stood there in the darkness, the footsteps drew closer, sending a fresh wave of panic through her.

"Sunghoo—" Sarim tried to whisper, but before she could finish his name, Sunghoon gently pressed his hand over her mouth, his palm warm against her skin.

She froze, her eyes widening in surprise at the intimacy of the gesture. His touch was both protective and electrifying, sending butterflies fluttering in her stomach. The moment felt suspended in time, and her thoughts scattered as she looked up at him, their faces inches apart.

Sunghoon's gaze was steady, his expression serious but reassuring. "Shh," he murmured softly, glancing down at her, his breath brushing against her cheek. The closeness felt charged, like the air before a storm, and Sarim's heart raced as she tried to process the sensations flooding through her.

Time seemed to stretch as they stood there, hidden away from the bustling festival. Sarim's thoughts swirled—How is it possible for him to feel this close? Why does my heart feel like it's going to burst? The warmth of his body radiated against hers, and the faint scent of his cologne enveloped her senses, making her dizzy.

"Are they gone?" she finally whispered, her voice trembling slightly.

Sunghoon didn't move, still watching her closely. "Just a few more seconds," he whispered back, his thumb grazing her cheek gently as he kept his hand over her mouth.

Sarim's breath hitched at the contact, her heart pounding wildly. She felt every beat echo in her ears as she stared up into his eyes, which were dark and full of intensity. It was like they were suspended in their own little world, with everything else fading away.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the footsteps faded. Sunghoon slowly removed his hand, but he lingered close, his breath warm against her skin. Sarim was painfully aware of how close they were, their faces so near that she could feel the gentle rise and fall of his chest beside hers.

"Now," he whispered, his voice low and soft, as he stepped back slightly.

Sarim took a moment to regain her composure, her mind racing. "That was so close!" she whispered, glancing around to ensure the coast was clear.
