Halia was walking through the graves. She had enjoyed doing this in Gavaldon because it reminded her of her mother. She missed going to her mothers grave and putting different flowers on each of her family's graves. She never brought flowers to her fathers grave. Instead, she brought a knife so the devil could cut off his skin in hell. She hoped he was suffering. He deserved it. She would never forgive him for the death of her family. She remembered what Rhian had said:

"He didn't kill me,"

No he didn't kill him. Rhian wasn't her family. He had sent her away while Rafal died. He sent her away and watched as her family, her real family, got murdered, while John sliced them all open. He sent her away and saw her get abused, scarred. He watched as she died inside.

"Are you alright?" Halia turned around and unclenched her fists when she saw that it was Willow.

"Oh, yeah. I'm fine," Halia lied. "Why are you out here?"

"Oh I like to put flowers on the graves. I feel like they should smell something good even when they're dead." Halia noticed the flowers in Willow's hand. She then noticed the stink bombs in her other hand. Willow noticed her looking and explained that it was for the Nevers since they didn't like good-smelling things. "Why are you out here?"

"Being in the graveyard reminds me of my mother and siblings,"

"How many siblings did you have?"

"Twelve,"

"How did they all die?"

"My father killed them,"

"Oh,"

They had spent hours looking at the stars. They had talked about their families and how different their lives were now that they were at the school. Willow asked about what it was like in Gavaldon and Halia asked about life in the upside down Borna Coric. Their lives were so different but so alike at the same time. They knew what their experiences felt like. It was as if they were connected. Halia felt almost drawn to Willow and Willow to Halia. If they were at the other side of the garden, they would have seen the kiss shared between a golden boy and an ugly girl.
