Learn to package, learn to be dapper. There's no other way to say this if not clearly. This is beyond the scope of how we're perceived. It is even beyond inspiring our audience—even to the audience of one—Yahweh.
Most men fail to recognize this reality: our perception is only surface-level. As perceptive creatures, human beings often overlook the subtleties. Our intentions are secondary. It doesn't matter the intent—Man is the influenced not the influence. We are slaves to the subconscious –the realm that connects the true man from within. The subconscious is the underlying core of every individual, constantly absorbing and processing information. It is our conscious responsibility to monitor and regulate what we absorb into our subconscious – the real, inner person. This is the essence of Proverbs 4:23, the holy grail of diligent living.
When someone decides to present themselves publicly, it transcends mere perception. As subconscious beings, we unintentionally exert mind control (MK Ultra 101) – a fundamental principle of influence. We must acknowledge that, as human beings rather than human doings, we are designed to be influenced, not to be the influence. The phrase "so as we see, we become" underscores this reality.
In other words, we must be intentional about what we expose ourselves to and what others see, as it shapes our core. This is the true heart (Proverbs 4:24), where perceptions take root and become normalised. The implications extend beyond inspiration, appearances, and environmental influences. Our subconscious absorbs everything, including the influences of those around us, even from a distance. This understanding highlights the importance of guarding our hearts, as our minds are receptive and absorbent by nature.
Like an open mouth, our minds ingest and process information subconsciously, through muscle memory. This vulnerability necessitates vigilant protection. And thus, by recognising our inherent susceptibility, we must safeguard our minds jealously. The human heart is designed like a woman's womb –it nurtures whatever is put inside of it.
Fortunately, meditation offers a remedial technology to counter our vulnerability. Through intentional focus, we learn to mutter into our subconscious, cultivating a desired reality. A notable illustration of this principle is the training method for identifying counterfeit currency. Rather than studying fake bills, experts focus on familiarising themselves with the authentic ones. This approach enables instant recognition of any counterfeit. It is through familiarity with the authentic we develop a keen sense of recognition, allowing us to instantly identify any imitation. As Malcolm Gladwell illustrates, it's the subtle discrepancies that trigger our awareness, making us pause and question what doesn't feel right – a concept he aptly describes as 'Blink'
Once we grasp this concept, we begin to see the true intentions behind mainstream media. The next time a platform pushes something into your feed, remember: they're not informing, telling, or showing - they're programming!.
