Okay so. If anyone remembers 2021 me did some Oreo/Pudding Cup outfits based off irl Oreo and pudding flavors (I should. Pick that back up 😊😊😊😊😊 <- already has ideas). And one of the PC drawings I did was based off one called 'dragon flavor'

Anyway I remembered I rlly liked that design and so obviously I went "hm. I should make a design like this for Oreo and Police Hat"

And for some reason I was like "hm!!! Dragon!Ph should be like. Ex-Yakuza 😁😁😁😁😁"

I think the thought pipeline was dragons > Asian culture > yakuza bc I did characterize Dragon!PC as like. A more punk(?) version of regular PC. So it made sense to change Ph's characterization a bit, too.

So atp since Dragon!Ph was now wildly different from canon Ph I decided "okay this can be like a fun little AU" but I couldn't decide on what type of AU??? Like if it was an aesthetic change or like a complete genre overhaul. And this was important bc I couldn't decide what to do with Oreo 💔💔💔💔

So I mainly played around with a Crime AU and Fantasy AU bc both of those suited the dragon theming, but I didn't reach my final decision until I was like "okay what if Oreo was just a normal-ass guy"

Then I did some more thinking and decided this is the version I like the most, SO. Prepare yourself. I shit you not I've been spacing out in class thinking abt this AU LMAOOO

The gist is that 1st of all this is a no competition AU. Second it's like modern fantasy I think. Oreo is a normal guy, but PC is actually a dragon who comes to the mortal realm to do....something. Idk what exactly, but yeah she just kinda enters Oreo's life one day.

Dragons in this AU are like. They're not gods, but their existence is super well known and proven. They come from a diff plane of existence but some of them live on/visit Earth and have all sorts of magic powers. They mostly act as nature guardians/protectors of natural balance, alongside regular natural processes. That's their gist!!!

I think PC is like....a fire dragon? But the range of powers dragons can have is supposed to be kinda abstract. Dragons can also shapeshift btw, so that's why PC can assume a human form. They can also half-shift to be like a human with dragon features <333 It's a spectrum basically.

So Oreo for 1 reason or another gets involved in PC's quest (the main reason Oreo is a normal guy is bc I love the "normal person gets dragged into situations way out of their depth" trope lmaoo), and yknow. Things happen, etc etc. Again idk what PC was sent to Earth to do LOL. But she's here to do something, it's not just for fun

OKAY so now I get to talk about this version of Ph <333333333

So there are some factions of ppl who Don't Like dragons and think they should stop intervening with Earth. Dragons are protectors of nature etc etc but this also means that sometimes they destroy human shit bc of things ppl do like overindustrialization, deforestation, pollution, etc etc.

There's political/environmental commentary somewhere in here :////

So like. Sometimes dragons will come to Earth to destroy human stuff and whatever bc they don't like humans overstepping their boundaries. Among the ppl who aren't fans of dragons came the dragon hunters, who want to drive the dragons away by killing them. Aaaand Ph was born into a family of these hunters.

And so for the first half of the story, Ph is actually the antagonist who tries to hunt down PC (and by extension Oreo, since he's helping her. Though he doesn't rlly want to hurt Oreo bc Oreo's just A Guy). Extra lore: Ph and Oreo are accquaintances but they aren't like besties or anything (heresy I know). They just kinda see each other sometimes
