As Tavni and Vishnu walked away from the water park, Tavni couldn't help but roll her eyes at Vishnu's antics. "I can't believe I actually had fun with you today," she muttered under her breath.

Vishnu heard her and grinned. "Hey, don't be a sourpuss. You know you had a good time."

Tavni scoffed. "Yeah, sure, whatever."

As they reached the bus, Tavni sighed with relief. "Well, that's over," she said.
"Now let's see if I can survive the bus ride home without him annoying me."
Vishnu just grinned. "Challenge accepted."

They boarded the bus, finding seats side by side near the window. Tavni settled into her seat, her gaze drawn to the colorful lights of the passing city. Vishnu leaned against the window, watching the world go by.

As the bus pulled away from the water park, the students settled into their seats, their chatter filling the cramped space. Tavni and Vishnu continued their conversation, their laughter and playful banter filling the air around them.

A group of boys at the back of the bus started making fun of Tavni, teasing her about her height and her love of swimming. Their laughter was cruel and hurtful, and Tavni's face flushed with embarrassment.

Vishnu couldn't stand to hear them mocking his friend. He turned around and faced the boys, his eyes filled with anger. "Cut it out," he said firmly. "That's not funny."

The boys laughed even louder, their taunts growing more vicious. Tavni shrank into her seat, wishing she could disappear.

"Leave her alone," Vishnu insisted, his voice rising. "She's a good person, and she doesn't deserve to be treated like that."

One of the boys, a particularly obnoxious kid named Raj, smirked. "Oh, is little Vishnu defending his princess?" he taunted.

Vishnu's anger flared. "I'm defending my friend," he said. "And if you don't stop, I'll make sure you regret it."

Raj laughed, but he backed down. He knew that Vishnu was serious, and he didn't want to get into a fight.

The other boys followed Raj's lead, and the teasing stopped. Tavni was relieved, but she was still feeling upset.

Vishnu reached over and took her hand. "It's okay," he said softly. "They're just jealous."

Tavni smiled gratefully. She knew that Vishnu was right. The boys were only making fun of her because they were insecure.

As the bus continued on its journey, Tavni and Vishnu talked and laughed, leaving behind the negativity of the earlier incident. They were looking forward to getting home and sharing their adventures with their friends and family.

But in few minutes the group of boys started again their taunts had been relentless, their words like sharp knives, piercing Tavni's fragile self-esteem. She tried to shield herself with a wall of indifference, but their cruel jibes were slowly chipping away at her defenses. The tears, once held back by sheer force of will, were now threatening to spill over.

Vishnu, a quiet observer of the unfolding drama, couldn't stand to see his friend suffer. With a swift movement, he reached into his backpack and pulled out a worn, leather-bound book. "Hey, Tavni," he said, his voice soft and reassuring, "want to read a story?"

Tavni looked up, her eyes wide with surprise. "Really?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

Vishnu nodded, a gentle smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, I brought this book about a brave princess who fights dragons. It's really cool."

Tavni hesitated for a moment, her gaze flickering between Vishnu and the taunting boys. Finally, she nodded, taking the book from his outstretched hand. As she began to read, Vishnu started to tell her funny stories from his childhood, his voice filled with a contagious enthusiasm. His tales were so absurd and hilarious that Tavni couldn't help but laugh, her laughter echoing through the playground.

The boys watched Tavni and Vishnu with a mixture of confusion and irritation. They couldn't understand why she was laughing so heartily, and they didn't like the way Vishnu was ignoring them. One of the boys, emboldened by his friends' presence, muttered something under his breath.

"Nerds," he said, his voice dripping with contempt.

Vishnu heard him, a smirk spreading across his face. "You know, I'm starting to think that 'nerd' is a compliment," he replied, his voice calm and steady. "It means I'm intelligent and have a passion for learning. Unlike some people who clearly don't."

The boy flushed with anger, his words stumbling over each other. "What's that supposed to mean?" he retorted.
"Oh, nothing much," Vishnu replied, feigning innocence. "Just stating the obvious."

The other boys joined in, their laughter echoing through the playground. The boy, humiliated and defeated, retreated, his tail between his legs.

As the boys continued their bickering, Vishnu turned to Tavni and winked. "See what happens when you stand up for yourself?"

Tavni smiled, her eyes filled with gratitude. "I'm sorry for getting upset," she said, her voice barely audible.

Vishnu shrugged. "It's okay. We all have bad days. Just remember, you're amazing and don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

Tavni nodded, her heart filled with a newfound sense of confidence. As she continued to read, she felt a warm glow of contentment spread through her. She realized that her love of books was a strength, not a weakness, and that she would never let anyone make her feel ashamed of who she was.

🐥》Hey guys aways  remember, it's okay to be different. Embrace your unique qualities and don't let anyone dim your shine. And if you ever find yourself in a sticky situation, just remember: a well-placed insult can be a powerful weapon, especially when delivered with a perfectly timed smirk.
