Theo's pov
I woke up this morning to Draco dragging me out of bed, insisting I get ready for class. I had overslept again, so I hurried to get dressed; I didn't want to miss breakfast. As we left for the Great Hall, we stopped by the girls' dormitory, and Draco knocked on Pansy and Daphne's door. When no one replied, he knocked again.
Getting a bit impatient, I opened the door myself. Draco slapped my arm. "You can't just barge into the girls' dormitory like that! What if they were changing?"
"Nothing I haven't seen before," I winked.
Blaise rolled his eyes. "Manwhore."
I scoffed. "You're one to talk."
From the bed furthest away, I heard a groan. "Get out!"
It was Daphne. "Daph, you have to get up! You're going to miss breakfast," Blaise said, walking further into the room.
"No, don't!" Estella chimed in. "I would, but Stella won't let go of me." Daphne laughed.
Estella groaned, "It's too early, and I'm cold." She was completely buried under the covers.
I heard Draco let out a laugh and mutter something about typical behavior.
"We're going to breakfast," he said. "I advise you to get up, or you'll have to wait for food until lunch."
As we left, I caught Estella muttering curses under her breath. She seemed nice enough; I hadn't seen her since we were about seven. I remembered visiting her often when her dad was still alive. He was a Death Eater, just like mine. I wouldn't call them friends, but they were certainly work associates. Both Draco and Daphne talked about her a lot and were ecstatic when Oliver mentioned she was coming to Hogwarts. I was glad she was in most of my classes—things were starting to feel a bit tedious.
As we entered the Great Hall, Adrian approached us, and I felt a surge of annoyance. He was such a playboy; sure, I had my moments, but at least I knew how to take "no" for an answer. Adrian had been pestering Daphne since the school year started, refusing to leave her alone no matter how many times she rejected him. I groaned internally as he sat down with us and launched into a conversation about Quidditch.
"So, what do you think of the new girl?" Adrian asked.
I frowned and noticed Draco giving him a disapproving look.
"What do you mean?" Draco replied, his tone skeptical.
"You mean Estella?" I chimed in, already dreading where this was heading and hoping he would drop it.
"Yeah, she's hot, right?" he grinned. "Too bad she's friends with Daphne; I bet she's already turned her against me. But I reckon I could change her mind, if you know what I mean." He winked.
I suddenly lost my appetite. The way he talked about girls disgusted me, especially the comments he made in the locker room after practice. It was incredibly disrespectful.
Draco frowned. "Shut up, Adrian."
I could see he was just as repulsed. "What? You've already got a thing for her?" Adrian smirked like an idiot.
"I've known her since we were babies; she's like a sister to me. So I'd suggest you keep your mouth shut."
Adrian raised his hands in mock defense, that infuriating smirk still plastered on his face.
He was about to get up when he spotted Estella and Daphne entering the Great Hall.
As they approached us, I noticed the disdainful look on Daphne's face. Estella smiled at Adrian, and he returned the gesture innocently, as if he hadn't just been talking about her inappropriately. "What do you want?" Daphne asked.
