Gemini’s eyes fluttered shut as the evening wind gently caressed his face. The world around him felt foreign, yet familiar. But with each passing moment, there was a weight pressing on him—an unspoken truth, a story he hadn’t yet shared with Fourth. Memories that haunted him, trailing him like shadows from a different time, a different life.

He wasn’t just a man from the future; he had lived a life of heartbreak, loss, and confusion before finding himself in this strange world. It was time for those memories to resurface, whether he liked it or not.

Year 2024:

The city was buzzing, alive with the hum of cars and the distant echoes of laughter in the streets. Yet amidst the noise, Gemini felt completely alone. He walked with his head down, his thoughts spiraling, the recent breakup with his girlfriend playing over and over in his mind like a broken record.

“It’s over, Gemini.”

Those were her final words. No matter how much he had tried to fix things, no matter how much effort he put into their relationship, it always seemed to crumble in the end. And today had been the last straw.

He had rushed to her apartment, hoping for one last conversation, one last chance to change her mind. But when he arrived, she was cold and distant. The love they had once shared felt like a distant memory, and all he could do was watch as she pulled away, her eyes empty.

“Please, just tell me why,” Gemini had begged, his voice cracking.

She looked at him with pity, shaking her head. “It’s not you, Gem. It’s me. I can’t do this anymore. We’re just… not right for each other.”

Those words broke something inside him. He had heard them before, but this time, they hit differently. This time, they shattered him.

After the breakup, Gemini found himself wandering through the city, his feet moving without direction. He didn’t care where he was going. The lights, the sounds—they all blurred together as if the world itself was fading away.

By the time he reached his house, the sky had darkened, and the weight of his thoughts had grown heavier. The idea of going inside felt unbearable. The memories, the reminders of her—everything seemed too painful to face.

So, he made his way to the back of his house, where the pool shimmered under the soft glow of the moonlight. The water was calm, almost inviting. Gemini stood by the edge, staring at the reflection of the stars scattered across the surface.

His mind began to race, thoughts of failure and loneliness swirling together. He felt broken. Worthless. Like he didn’t belong anywhere. He wasn’t sure if he could handle another day like this—another day of feeling like he was drowning in his own emotions.

As he stood there, the idea of ending it all crossed his mind. It wasn’t the first time. The pool looked so serene, so quiet. It would be so easy to just… let go.

Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward, letting the cool water lap at his toes. His chest tightened as he looked down, his reflection staring back at him with tired, hollow eyes.

But then, something strange happened.

The water began to ripple—slowly at first, then more violently, as if some unseen force was stirring it. Gemini stumbled back, his heart racing. He blinked, trying to make sense of what he was seeing, but before he could react, the surface of the pool seemed to split open, revealing an inky black void beneath.

Panic shot through him. He tried to back away, but the pull was too strong. The water surged upward, wrapping around his legs like cold, unforgiving hands. He gasped, struggling to break free, but it was no use. The force dragged him under, plunging him into darkness.
