Chapter 162 – A Christmas Together

It's December 24, 2022, and Gustavo wakes up in bed next to Kendall. The sun begins to gently illuminate the room, but they are still snuggled up against each other, in no hurry to leave the embrace. They both feel the tranquility of a rare moment in their hectic routines, enjoying the quiet before the festivities that await them later at the house of Kris, Kendall's mother.

Gustavo (whispering): "We could stay here all day, doing nothing."

Kendall (smiling): "I wouldn't complain... but you know we have a Christmas party to go to later."

As they talk, laziness takes over them, but they know that, with the free time in the morning, they can enjoy it together.

After a while of cuddling, they finally get up. It had been a long time since they had run together, and Gustavo suggests that they go for a run around the property. Kendall agrees immediately.

They both get dressed and go for a run, enjoying the fresh morning air. The pace is light, and they chat casually about what Christmas will be like, the gifts they will exchange, and their anticipation of seeing Leila and João, Gustavo's parents, who will also be at Kris's house.

After the run, they return to their private gym at home. Gustavo, as always, takes the lead in the workout and gives Kendall a routine, adjusting the exercises according to the intensity she prefers.

Gustavo: "You'll thank me later for this workout."

Kendall (laughing): "Only if I survive."

The workout ends with both of them doing sit-ups side by side. At the end, sweaty, they get up and exchange quick kisses, with a knowing smile.

After the workout, the two go straight to the shower, where they take a shower together, enjoying the intimate moment of relaxation and connection. Gustavo, always careful, puts a little shampoo on Kendall's hair, while she jokes that he could be a hairdresser in his spare time.

Later, they go to the kitchen to prepare something light to eat. They decide to make a quick meal, a salad with fruit and a green juice to feel refreshed.

Kendall: "This is what we need to get through the night at my mother's house."

Gustavo: "If your family is half as lively as mine, it's going to be a long night."

With the food ready, they head to the living room, where they settle down on the couch. Kendall cuddles in Gustavo's arms as they put on a movie to watch. They both comment on how calm the moment is, knowing that in a few hours they will be surrounded by family and the hustle and bustle of the Christmas party.

They lose themselves in the tranquility of the movie, exchanging glances and subtle caresses, while the intimacy between them grows naturally.

As the night approaches, they both realize that it is time to get ready to go to Kris's house. They take another quick shower and get dressed for the occasion. Gustavo opts for a dark blue dress shirt and jeans, while Kendall chooses a smart but casual dress, suitable for the family gathering.

Kendall (looking at Gustavo): "You look amazing in that shirt."

Gustavo (with a smile): "You look stunning, as always."

When they arrive at Kris's house, they are greeted with warm hugs. Kris is especially excited to see Gustavo, and Kendall's family also extends a warm welcome to Gustavo's parents, Leila and João, who arrived shortly before. The evening is filled with laughter, conversation and toasts.

Kris has organized a cozy Christmas party, with a magnificent Christmas tree in the center of the living room and soft lights that give a special glow to the room. The smell of typical Christmas foods fills the house, and everyone is immersed in the Christmas spirit.
