I took another deep breath, trying to steady my nerves as my hand hovered over the door– standing here at her doorstep, it all felt a little overwhelming. I missed Robyn, more than I wanted to admit.

Before I could knock, the door swung open, and there she was—Robyn, looking as radiant as ever. Her smile was wide as she pulled me into a tight hug.

"Look at you, midget," Robyn teased, grinning as she squeezed me. "Still short as ever."

"Yeah, well, you still got that big-ass forehead, so I guess some things don't change," I shot back, hugging her just as tight.

Robyn laughed, stepping back to get a good look at me. "You look good, better than good."

"You too, forehead," I said, shaking my head. "Missed you."

She grinned, her eyes softening. "Missed you too."

We stepped inside, and the house was already buzzing with life. Laughter echoed from the living room, where I could hear Kelly's booming voice, teasing someone as usual.

"Everyone's here," Robyn said as we walked toward the living room. "Kelly, Ciara, Amala, and Mel—they've been waiting on you."

I smiled, feeling the familiar warmth of being surrounded by friends. "Let's go."

The moment I walked into the living room, I was bombarded. Kelly was the first to rush over, wrapping me in a bear hug. "Look who finally decided to show up!" she laughed, pulling back to look at me. "You still look like a damn Barbie doll."

"Can't help it," I grinned, then turned to the others.

Ciara smiled, walking over to hug me. "Girl, you don't age. You still look twenty-five."

Mel joined in, shaking her head. "Girl, for real, what's your secret? You out here aging backward."

"Please, you're the one out here lookin' like a model," I joked.

Amala and Mel joined the group hug, both of them joking and teasing me about how long it had been. It felt good, being back with them.

As we all sat down, the conversation flowed easily. Laughter filled the room as we caught up on everything—work, relationships, old college memories that had us all in stitches. There was something about being with them that made everything feel lighter, like the weight of the past few years disappeared for a little while.

But after a while, my stomach grumbled, and I decided to take advantage of Robyn's hospitality. "I'm fucking starving," I announced, rubbing my stomach. "Mind if I raid your kitchen?"

Robyn smirked. "Have at it."

Kelly and Robyn exchanged a look, their eyes meeting for a second before they both burst into laughter. "Oh, you're gonna love it," Kelly said with a knowing grin.
