The yacht was already swaying gently underfoot as we stepped aboard, the air thick with excitement, laughter, and the low pulse of the music coming from the speakers. I hadn't even had my first drink yet, and the night was already turning into something wild. Kelly was at the helm, naturally, barking orders like she was running the Navy.

"Ladies! If you're still sober, that's about to change. Line it up!" Kelly grinned wickedly, clutching a bottle of tequila in one hand like it was her lifeline. She turned to Robyn, her eyes gleaming. "Bride-to-be, front and center. We're driving the boat tonight!"

Robyn groaned, shaking her head as we cheered. "Why did I trust you to plan this?"

"Because I'm the fun one," Kelly shot back, already pouring the first round of shots into tiny glasses. "You're gonna thank me later."

We all crowded around, the cool night air mixing with the smell of saltwater and expensive liquor. I grabbed a glass and clinked it against Robyn's. "To surviving tonight."

"To surviving the rest of my life," she added, laughing as she threw back the shot. The burn hit instantly, warming my chest, loosening the tension I'd carried all day.

Before I knew it, Kelly was tilting the tequila bottle above her head, pouring it directly into Ciara's mouth, then Robyn's, then mine. "Drink up! I need y'all turnt before we get to the good stuff."

I swallowed, feeling the alcohol hit harder this time. My body was already buzzing, but I couldn't help scanning the deck, checking for Onika. She hadn't said much since we boarded the yacht. I could feel her presence like a magnet pulling me in, even when I didn't want it to.

"B! Focus!" Kelly's voice pulled me back to the moment. She was waving the bottle in my face, already laughing at how far gone we all were. "You zoning out? I thought you were the responsible one!"

I smirked, pushing the bottle away. "Not tonight."

"That's the spirit!" Kelly cackled, slapping me on the back. "Now, let's get this boat moving!"

We stumbled toward the captain's area, Robyn in tow, and started pouring drinks into each other's mouths, laughing so hard I could barely stand straight. Ciara kept slipping in her sandals, and Amala was holding her stomach from how much she was laughing.

"Wait, wait," Amala said, gasping for breath. "Y'all ever try pouring tequila with your eyes closed?"

Ciara leaned into her, giggling uncontrollably. "Girl, we barely made it with our eyes open."

I could feel the tequila rushing through my veins, everything becoming louder, funnier, more alive. Kelly tilted the bottle over Robyn's mouth again as she screamed in protest, "Kel! I'm gonna puke if you don't stop!"
