Chapter 17 ~ Wood Burrow

Isadora's P.O.V

- Dreaming -

"Mother!" I called out as she turned and smiled at me

"Isa" she said

"Isa. Isa. Isadora, Isa" I heard someone whispering my name repetitively and I couldn't move

Next thing you know my mother is lying on the ground and I'm watching her turn to bones.

My dad peaks out from behind a tree and smiles.

"Don't you see Isa? You were just the set up for the plan to work" He said and turned me around

"Look at your sister. The soon to be queen of the realm, shes the only one who can handle this stuff" He said as I was pushed to the ground.

- End of Dream -

I woke up to the alarm beeping and woke up Victoria to tell her about my dream.

"Yes?" She said opening her eyes slowly she actually looked tired though

She soon shot up and smiled

"Whats wrong?" She said looking at me

"My dream, It felt so life like" I said looking down and fiddling with my hands.

"Look whatever it was wasn't real so lets just go have breakfast" she said taking hold of my hands and we walked down the stairs as she led me into the kitchen.

"Hey Flo!" I said smiling genuinely

"Good Morning Crim" Violet said hugging her as I walked over to Flo

"So whats for breakfast?" I asked as my stomach grumbled at the thought of food

"Whatever you can catch" He smiled and opened the back door.

Violet sped out the door first and I quickly followed trying to keep up with her speed. I darted and soon we were side by side.

"What do we usually catch out here?" I said

"Usually theres rabbits but sometimes If we are lucky we can catch a deer" she said and her eyes turned a purply red but more purple.

"How come your eyes change to purple more than red" I asked

"I have no idea? My eyes were like this ever since" She said

"Stop" I whispered

"What?" She said

"Get down, I hear something" I said crouching down

"Look a deer!" She said and her eyes turned completely purple

"Violet are you okay?" I asked her

"I'm really hungry. I haven't eaten deer in about 7 months" she said

"Lets get it" I said

"I'm really craving it too" she said pouncing at the deer

"Wait for me" I called after her and helped her take the kill.

She carried the deer as we got home quickly, safe and sound.

"Oh my goodness!" Crim squealed

"Where did you find that thing!" Flo said curiously

"It was just out there" I said

"By itself?" Flo said

"Yes, why?" Violet asked curiously

"They never travel by themselves they are always part of a herd. So either they got scared and scattered or there are more out there!" Flo said

"If theres more out there we wont need to hunt for days, Maybe even a couple of weeks" Crim said heading out the door

"Lets go on our first family hunt!" Flo said and we all agreed and sped off

We saw a couple of deers around a lake and then they started to run towards us we had no idea what was going on and we still went in for the kill.

Thats when everything blacked out.

Violet's P.O.V

I kept hearing Isadora screaming. I tried to run to her but I couldn't see her. I couldn't see anyone in fact it was as if I looked away for 1 second and then they were gone. I heard the laughter of someone not very close but soon gaining on me I took off in a run and then sped home. Running through the backyard and to the house.

Desperately trying to open the door that was locked I had no other way in it was either find a window open or keep running. I had to think quickly as I could hear the person gaining on me.

"Crim! Flo! Isadora!! This isn't funny if this is some kind of game. It is really messed up" I called out praying for a reply.

When there was no answer I sped around the house looking for an open window when there was none open in our secure house I took off running down the long driveway, hoping that nothing would jump out at me. As I neared the end of the driveway I had to stop running and slow it down to a jog incase anyone could see me.

I stopped and I suddenly felt dizzy as if leaving the perimeter of my house was going to destroy me. My arm started burning with pain but nothing was happening. I jogged back over to the driveway and stepped onto the dirt path as a wave of relief hit me. The pain had stopped but I was trapped. Around my house was a fine ash.

"Wood Burrow Ash" I whispered I got up and realised there was nothing I could do

"There coming for you" I heard a whisper

"Crim?" I said

"You have to try and destroy the Wood Burrow. Don't let them get to you. A stick anything! Break the seal my dear, Isa is okay. I will see you soon" A piercing scream came from the woods. I know she heals fast but I don't want her to be hurt

"Crim" I said silently as a tear rolled down my face. I need her she's like a mother to me.

I picked up sticks, rocks and someones torn shoe by the looks of it.

Noises got louder. I threw them all at once and a blast of wind hit my face. I jogged and I kept jogging. I didn't even know where I was going until I ended up outside a fast food restaurant. I was hungry but fast food wasn't really my kind of food but I went in any way...

Stupid Idea and Instantly regretted it.

I know its been forever! But don't be mad because I am going to be updating a lot now. Well at least as much as I can.
