Cat naps

A small update!!

The evening air was surprisingly calm and serene at Mix and Earth's home. Upstairs, the usual hustle and bustle had calmed down to a more relaxed and quieter atmosphere. Phuwin was curled up on the couch, wrapped in a soft blanket, taking one of his much-needed cat naps. His soft breathing filled the room.

On the other side of the room, however, chaos was alive and well. Gemini and Fourth were intensely focused on their gaming session as always, their fingers stomping the buttons on the controller as they cursed at each other. Dunk sat nearby, going through a list of events, helping them decide which university events to sign up for.

"You have no choice on your faculty events anyway, it is a must to join them" Dunk was saying as he browsed through the list on his phone. "And there's that campus volunteer program. It's pretty low-pressure but still looks good on your record."

"I'll think about it," Fourth muttered, distracted as his character narrowly avoided an attack on screen.

"Are you even listening to me?" Dunk teased, shaking his head as Gemini, too, remained glued to the game.

At that moment, Earth walked into the room, wiping his hands on a dish towel. He glanced around, eyes landing on the two gamers. "Alright, boys, enough of that for now," he said gently, crossing his arms. "Don't you have assignments to get to? You can game later."

Gemini and Fourth exchanged a quick look, and with exaggerated groans, paused their game. "Fine, fine," Gemini muttered, leaning back into the couch. Fourth did the same, reaching for his phone to scroll through the university event listings.

As Earth approached Phuwin, who was still fast asleep, a warm smile spread across his face. The boy looked so peaceful that Earth hesitated for a moment, not wanting to disturb him. But dinner was nearly ready, and he knew Phuwin wouldn't want to miss it.

Gently, Earth knelt beside Phuwin and reached out, softly caressing the top of his head. "Phuwin," he called softly, his fingers running through Phuwin's soft hair. "Wake up, kiddo."

Phuwin stirred at the touch, blinking his eyes open slowly. His vision was a bit blurry, but as soon as he saw Earth's familiar, comforting face, a small smile tugged at his lips. "Lung..." he mumbled, still half-asleep, as he instinctively cuddled up closer to his uncle-in-law, burying his face into Earth's shoulder.

Earth chuckled softly, his heart warming at the affection. "You're still such a cuddler, aren't you?"

"Mmhm," Phuwin hummed, clinging to him for a moment longer before he slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes.

Dunk, who noticed him up looked at his direction. "You awake now?"

Phuwin gave a sleepy nod, his eyes still half-lidded. Dunk handed him the list of events they were discussing. "We're going over what events to sign up for. Have you looked at it?"

Phuwin blinked, still shaking off the sleep, and looked at the list in front of him. His brows furrowed as he scanned the options. "Uh... I don't know."

Fourth leaned over, glancing at Phuwin's list. "You wanna go for the volunteer thing, too?"

"Yeah, that sounds good."

Dunk grinned, satisfied. "Fourth and you can go to the same events. That'll make things easier."

As Phuwin settled in, still waking up from his nap, Earth stood up and clapped his hands. "Alright, once you've figured that out, come downstairs. Dinner's ready."

"Got it," Gemini called out, waving lazily toward Earth, his focus back on the list.

Earth smiled and headed downstairs, leaving the boys to their discussion.
