The roar of the stadium, the bright lights, the endless press conferences were behind us now. After the Super Bowl win, everything seemed to slow down, almost like we were waking up from a long, intense dream. For the first time in months, Joe didn't have to wake up early for morning practices or film sessions. His body could finally rest, and we both knew that the off-season was an opportunity to recharge, both mentally and physically.

Joe's agent and the team had planned out a few media appearances to keep the momentum for the Super Bowl alive, but most of his schedule was open. For the first time in what felt like forever, we had time to just be together. It was strange, in a way going from the whirlwind of the season to this sudden calm, but we both welcomed it.

One morning, a few weeks after the big win, Joe sat across from me at breakfast, a playful smile on his face.

"What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"How do you feel about taking a vacation?" Joe asked, leaning back in his chair. "Just the two of us. No media, no cameras, no football. I think we deserve it."

I blinked, surprised. Joe wasn't exactly the type to suggest spontaneous trips, but I could see how much he needed this. I smiled and nodded. "That sounds amazing. Where do you want to go?"

He shrugged, grinning. "Somewhere warm. Tropical, maybe? I was thinking Hawaii."

Hawaii. The thought of us on a beach, far away from everything sounded perfect. Just the two of us, with no distractions. "Let's do it," I said, excitement bubbling up inside me.

The flight to Hawaii was long but worth every minute. As soon as we landed, the soft ocean breeze hit us, and I could see Joe relax instantly. The tension that had built up during the season seemed to melt away as we drove to our secluded beach resort.

For the next few days, life was blissfully simple. Mornings were spent lounging on the beach, the ocean waves crashing in the background. Afternoons were filled with exploring the island, hiking through lush rainforests, and swimming in crystal-clear waters. It was everything we needed, time away from the public eye, just enjoying each other's company/

We laughed more in those few days than we had in months, making memories that felt like they belonged to a different world. There were no headlines, no looming games, just us.
