The group was now inside the teacher's staff room. Y/n can be seen standing guard against the teacher staff's door, which was barricaded by a metal locker, supported by chairs.

However, his newly found teammates were llistening on the news, but Y/n was also doing the same. Takashi manages to find some watter bottles as some took and drank

Because of the dead, Y/n informed them to lower the volume to a bare minimum of 15-14, just able to be heard in the room. Everyonw agreed as they all listened on the female reporter, live on the scene.

Reporter:"The number of deaths in the Saitama Prefecture already exceeds 10,000 casualties.The prefectural governer has declarwd a staete of emer-"

The reporter was cut off with a gunshot from the area they were live at. They switch the scene to a nearby ambulance, to see a body bag, sit up from the stretcher and was promptly shot by a police officer.

Reporter:"That was gunfire! As of right now, police have opened fire. It is unknow at wha- No! Get away!"

The video's audio revealed the reporters panicked voice, not pointed by the camera, unable to be seen by the viewers. The camera briefly shows a few of the infected, walking towards them, before it's drops to the ground.

Then, the channel briefly turns static and goes into the news tv station, replacing the live footage, replaced by a new reporter

Reporter:"Th-there's seem to be some sort of problem from our live crew. Fr-from now on, we'll be broadcasting from the studio here. The situation outside has become grave. So, we advise you to stay in your homes unless necessary. Once the situation is settled, we will inform you all of new information."

The broadcast cuts off. In anger, Takashi punches a desk with frustration, making a small thud. This made Y/n look outside the entrance door's small window if some heard that thud.

Takashi:"Is that really it!? Why aren't they saying more!?"

Takagi:"Because it'll cause a panic." Takagi answered.

Rei:"I mean...even in a situation like this?"

Takagi:"That's exactly why. Panic ensues chaos, and chaos causes anarchy. After that, they don't only have the living dead to worry, but also the people who are running rampant, knowing the government isn't fully in control." She explained.

The news continues and reports from other countries began to show. America was also hit by the same pandemic as the authorities in the white house have been evacuated.

They informed the possible use of tactical warheads was imminent and they had lost contact with Moscow, and Beijing was on literal fire. While London was in control, reports of looting was still present in Rome and Parise. They managed to broadcast this before it turned to static, prompting Kohta to turn it off.

Y/n:"...Good call." He pointed it out as Kohta nodded.

All of a sudden, Rei began to get a bit

Rei:"...Too think the world would end up like this in a few hours. Hey...there has to be a safe place to stay...ri-right? Maybe things will go back to-"

Takagi:"Don't count on it. This is a pandemic. It'll not go back to normal for months or even years."

Kohta:"A...pandemic?"

Shizuka:"It's when a virus or disease has spread throughout the world." Shizuka, the school's nurse said.

Takashi:"Just like influenza?"

Takagi:"Exactly. The spanish flu. A rough estimation of 500 million people were affected and 50 million worldwide were killed."

Shizuka:"I-isn't this more akin to the Black Death plague during the 14th century?"

Takashi:"If it is...how did those pandemics stop?"

Shizuka:"There were alot of theories, but people believe that the spread was stopped after the lost of the population unabled it spread to other people. The less people there are, the less it spreads."

Kohta:"The only difference is...the dead is coming back."

Y/n and Saeko just listened in on the conversation. While Saeko was merely listening, Y/n was thinking about the spread rate.

Y/n:'...It's true that it came out of nowhere. One hour was all it took for the entirety of the world to make it public. However...how was it unknown until now?'

He asked this to himself. It didn't make sense how a pandemic was hidden to the public. More or else, spread to the entire world at the span of just 1 hour. Y/n knew that to begin this, they had to have a patient zero...but 1 patient able to infect multiple countries under an hour was not possible...unless multiple bombs were planted around to go off at the same time.

Y/n:'...Did a terrorist group do this?'

Saeko:"Then are you implying that there is no reason of spreading to stop?" Saeko asked Hirano.

Shizuka:"Ah! But it's hot out! Maybe their flesh will decompose and stop moving!"

Y/n:"...How long will it take?" Y/n finally spoke.

Shizuka:"Normally...around summer, it taked roughly around 22 days for some parts to decompos. But during winter...it'll be months."

Takagi:"Even then, how do we know they'll start decomposing?" Takagi chimed in.

Takashi:"What are you talking about?"

Takagi:"I mean, will they actually decompose? We lack knowledge about these things. Who knows if they'll even start decomposing."

Takagi looks towards Y/n. She may not know Y/n but his expression hinted that he knows something, or atleast would like to point it out. Bit seeing his expression of being reluctant, she decided not to voice it.

Y/n:"...What?"

Takagi:"Nothing."

Saeko:"...Haah...For the time being, our objective should be to find a location we can use for safety after we check on our families. For now, we need numbers more than ever. Alone, we don't stand a chance..."

Saeko lessened the last sentence and stared at Y/n. His skills proved he can atleast take down an entire group on his own.

Saeko:"So, I suggest we act as a team. If you want to let things be known...don't hesitate to talk to everyone."

Saeko secretly calls out Y/n's reluctancy to talk to them. Y/n knew about it and just glared briefly, bur ultimately sighs and get's ready for them to leave by taking off the barricade after making sure the coast was clear.

Y/n:"...Kohta, are you ready?"

Kohta:"I am."

Kohta ready's his nail gun. Takashi with his bat, Rei with her pointed tip pole and Saeko with her wooden katana. Takagi and Shizuku were going in the middle. Seeing them ready up, Y/n took out a simple a simple star screwdriver, given by Takagi when they took tools from the room they took Kohta's nail gun from.

With that, everyone was ready. Y/n opens the door. Rei was in the back, Takashi and Saeko leading, Kohta in the middle for range...and Y/n...a jack of all trades.

Takashi:"Let do this!"
