Abbie laid in his own bed. It was hours after he respawned, and he felt like he was back to square one. "Aghh... damn that fucking.. demon!" He said, sitting up in anger. "Why didnt she believe me?" He said to himself, looking around at his room. "Maybe, i can try and prove it.." he said, it was close to night, he could try and break into the school and get into the library to prove to Alice that he was telling the truth. "Hmm.." he walked up to his drawer and began to rummage through it, eventually digging up a flashlight. "Great, i thought i had one of these.. but does it work?" He wondered to himself. He would flip the switch on the light, and wouldnt ya know, it wouldnt turn on. "Dang it.. maybe there are some batteries..?" He would walk out of his room, and into the kitchen. His mom was in the room adjacent to it. "Hi, Abbie," his mom said, smiling a bit as she looked at him. "Hi, Mom," Abbie said. "Uh, do you happen to know if we have any batteries or not?" He asked, looking at her and then around at the kitchen. "Yeah, they should be in the dining room." Abbie's mom said. "Oh, thank you!" Abbie said. He would walk into the dining room, and look around. He eventually found the batteries on top of a shelf. "Finally.." he would decide to grab the whole pack, walking back to his room afterwards to fill the flashlight.
Eventually, Abbie finished with the Flashlight, flipping the switch, it worked. "Great.. now to enact the second step of my plan.." Abbie said. He would need to climb out of his window, not to difficult since he was on the first floor. The reason for this was because Abbie didnt have any friends he went out with, so he couldnt use such an excuse.
Abbie climbed out of his window, and shut it. "Now.. to get to the school." He said, walking through the dimly lit streets. The sun was setting. After about 15 minutes, Abbie reached the school. The inside lights were off. He would walk up to the main entrance, pushing on the door only for it to unsuprisingly, be locked. "Of course.. maybe one of the windows," Abbie said to himself. He would walk over to one of the windows to a classroom, managing to push it open and climb inside.
"Alright, now to find the library.. and that weird part of it.." Abbie said, his voice lower because he didnt know if he was alone. He would walk out of the classroom, shining his flashlight down the hall. The school looked empty so far. He would walk out of the classroom, and start walking down the hallway. His footsteps echoed as he walked, showing the contrast of the school at night. The echo added to his nervousness. He eventually made it to the main hall of the school, which is when he heard footsteps that were not his own. Abbie froze up, shutting off his flashlight and slowly, nervously backing up to where he came, until only his head showed so he could see what he was up against. He then saw a tall, feminine figure. He immediatley thought it was Alice. Maybe the school wanted to save on security by employing Alice? He didnt know. Either way, Abbie would quickly start speed-walking the other direction, his body trembling slightly in fear. "Shit, shit.. shit.." Abbie said, in his head on repeat. He was scared. Once he was at the end of the hallway, about to turn into the next, he heard footsteps a little bit behind him, he was being pursued, which made Abbie's fight or flight response activate, which was mostly the doctrine of 'Fucking run, dumbass'. Anyway, Abbie quickly turned into the other hallway and ran, which caused the footsteps behind him to quicken. Abbie would decide to open the door to a classroom, getting into the class and closing the door. He would then look around nervously, eventually spotting the teacher's desk. "I- i can hide behind that, yeah..!" He said, quickly running over to the teacher's desk and hiding under it, covering his own mouth in fear that he would make a sound.
Soon, the door opened, and Alice walked in. She was humming a tune of some sorts, like she found the small chase fun. She slowly walked through the classroom, until stopping just in front of the teacher's desk, making Abbie's breath hitch in his throat, his body shivering in fear. Eventually, she began walking again, and eventually leaving the classroom. She clearly knew where he was.
Abbie decided he wanted to leave right now. He didnt know how, though. He would slowly get out from under the desk, and walk out into the hallway. He now knew he had to be super careful, especially since Alice knew he was in the building. He would carefully walk through the hallway, turning on his flashlight so he could see better.
Eventually, Abbie would hear the footsteps again, and they were quick. "S-shit..!" Abbie said, not even daring to look back as he began to run. A fear-inducing laugh would sound from behind him. "Well well, look who was telling the truth!" A female voice said. The voice was Alice. Before Abbie could respond, a foot would suddenly collide with his back, sending Abbie falling to the floor with a bruise on his back. "Agh..! Motherfucker...!" Abbie said, turning to look at Alice, with a fearful look. Alice stood a bit away from Abbie, smirking. "Relax, im not gonna kill you. You arent worth the time, or my energy." Alice said, "you're persistant." She wpuld reach out her hand to help Abbie up.
Abbie would decide to not accept her help, standing up on his own. "Ugh.." he groaned, still pained from the bruise. "Now, when i first met you, you were in my library. Care to explain?" Alice said calmly.
"O-oh, yeah," Abbie said, nervous. "I was looking for answers for why i began respawning.." he explained, taking a small step back. "Hm, i dont think i have answers for that.. but, i do have possible reasons why.." Alice said, "me and a few similar peers once trapped a threat in the body of a child.." Alice would then look at Abbie. "I doubt it is you though." She said. "Okay.." Abbie said, processing the information. "Yeah, anyway, we have plenty of time, how about some tea in the cafeteria, my somewhat immortal guest." She said, beginning to walk to the cafeteria. Abbie figured he didnt have a choice in the matter, deciding to follow cautiously.
