“Can you believe it? Three years and nothing,” Ethan sighed, flinging a rock into the forested creek. The splash reverberated through the trees, a reminder of their shared frustration.

“Ugh, tell me about it,” Liam replied, raking a hand through his unruly hair, his voice heavy with exasperation. “All those girls, and none of them are even close to being… you know, right.”

“Right. The Moon Goddess has a sick sense of humor,” Ethan grumbled, kicking at the dirt. “We’re supposed to lead our pack, but how can we do that when we can’t even find our Luna?”

Liam leaned against a tree, the weight of their shared burden evident in his posture. “It’s like she’s testing us. Two alphas, bound to one mate—what kind of cruel twist is that?”

Ethan shot him a sidelong glance. “A hint would be nice. Just something to guide us. It’s frustrating being out here, surrounded by potential, yet feeling so lost.”

“Yeah,” Liam said, his tone softening. “It’s not just about us, either. Our pack depends on us finding her. They deserve a true Luna, not a placeholder.”

“Exactly,” Ethan replied, his voice steadier now. “We need to trust that she’s out there. Maybe the Moon Goddess has a plan we just can’t see yet.”

“Let’s hope so,” Liam said, a flicker of determination igniting in his eyes. “We’ll find her. Together.”
