yeji laid on her bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering when life got so exhausting. everything felt heavy. her body, her mind, her heart...she was just tired of all of it.
she didn't have a reason to cry, but the tears came anyway, like a storm building on the horizon that she couldn't escape. her whole life felt like it was falling apart, and the worst part was she didn't even know why.
but if there was one bright spot, one tiny glimmer of hope, it was that she wasn't straight (WOO YEAH BABY). thank the gods for that, at least she knew who she was, and she was a lesbian through and through. it was the one thing she was sure of.
and lately there was this girl named shin ryujin who had somehow become the one thing that made yeji feel like maybe, just maybe, life didn't have to be so gray.
she closed her eyes and pictured ryujin's face. her black hair, silky and soft. the way it framed her face like it was meant to be there and that smile...god, that smile. it was enough to make yeji's heart skip a beat every single time.
she flopped onto her bed with a little smile of her own, remembering ryujin's laugh, that bright sound that made her chest ache in a good way. and her sense of humor, the way she got yeji to binge an entire show, just because she was the one who recommended it.
yeji sighed, sinking deeper into her bed, her heart full yet aching.
do i want to be better friends with her, or do i like her? or both?
