I rushed out of my apartment, skipping breakfast due to Mr. Yoon's urgent summons.

The taxi ride to Yoon Enterprises took 45 minutes, giving me ample time to worry.

As I stepped out of the taxi, I gazed up at the grand building, its imposing structure a testament to the company's influence.

I had seen it on TV before, but experiencing it firsthand was daunting.

Inside, the receptionist's efficient demeanor put me at ease. After a brief call, she directed me to Mr. Yoon's office.

Upon entering, I found Mr. Yoon and Secretary Kim engrossed in discussion. They acknowledged my presence, and I greeted Mr. Yoon with a slight bow.

"Hello, Mr. Yoon."

"Take a seat, Jessica," he replied, nodding to Secretary Kim

I sat, fidgeting with my hands, anxious about potential mistakes.

Mr. Yoon leaned back in his chair. "So, how was your first day with Jeonghan?"I chose my words carefully.

"It was just the first day, but I can say he's...challenging. One needs patience to deal with him."

Mr. Yoon chuckled. "Expected as much. Now, let's discuss your real task."He paused, his expression serious.

"Do you recall your first task today?"

"Yes, sir," I replied, curiosity piqued.

"Completing this task is crucial. Failure will result in termination," he warned, sipping his coffee.

I felt a jolt of surprise.

Before I could process this, Mr. Yoon dropped another bombshell.

And one more thing, Jessica," Mr. Yoon continued, his expression serious.

"To effectively fulfill your duties, you must maintain constant proximity to Jeonghan. Therefore, I've decided that you will reside in his mansion, ensuring uninterrupted surveillance."

I felt a surge of unease at the sudden announcement.

"Sir, this wasn't part of the original agreement," I protested, trying to process the implications.

Mr. Yoon's tone remained firm.

"I understand, but this is essential for the success of your mission. You must be aware of Jeonghan's activities at all times."

I hesitated, weighing my concerns."Living with him will allow you to anticipate and prevent potential issues," Secretary Kim interjected, his voice measured.

I glanced at Secretary Kim, then back at Mr. Yoon."But, sir, isn't there another way?" I asked, hoping for an alternative.

Mr. Yoon's expression remained resolute.

"I'm afraid not, Jessica. This is non-negotiable. You must be embedded in Jeonghan's daily life to protect him effectively."

My instincts protested. "Sir, this wasn't part of the original agreement. Leaving home is difficult."

Mr. Yoon's tone turned firm. "I'm informing you now, Jessica. It's non-negotiable."

I hesitated, torn between my responsibility to Arin and my unease about living with a stranger.

"Jessica, you must decide. If you can't commit, you may quit. No pressure," Mr. Yoon said, scanning the papers Secretary Kim had brought.

My mind racing, I weighed my options. If I quit, Arin's surgery would be compromised. For my family, I had to push forward.
