Jungkook was making breakfast when he heard the small footsteps approaching the kitchen, stopping just a short distance away. He turned to see his son standing there, brows furrowed in concern. Jungkook knelt down to his level and spoke gently.
“Good morning, Binnie! Did you sleep well, baby?” He lovingly caressed the boy’s cheek.
“Where is Appa?” Soobin asked, ignoring his father’s greeting.
Jungkook smiled and replied, “Appa is sleeping, Binnie, because he’s feeling tired. There’s no need to—wait, Binnie!” But before Jungkook could finish, Soobin had already dashed off to his Appa’s bedroom.
Jungkook sighed, knowing it was futile to try and stop his son. Soobin wouldn’t listen when it came to anything related to Seokjin.
Soobin slowly opened the door to his parents' bedroom. He quietly slipped inside, climbed onto the bed, and placed his hand on Seokjin’s forehead to check if he was warm. Seokjin stirred at the gentle touch and opened his eyes to see his little boy staring back at him. Without hesitation, he lunged forward.
“Ahh! Cuddle attack!” Seokjin exclaimed excitedly.
“Appa!” Soobin squealed as the sudden onslaught of affection caught him off guard, but he quickly burst into giggles.
They cuddled silently for a few minutes until Soobin remembered the reason he’d come in. He wiggled out of Seokjin’s embrace and sat up, placing his right palm on Seokjin’s forehead and his left palm on his own.
“What are you doing, baby?” Seokjin asked, puzzled by his son’s unusual behavior.
“Checking you. Now shhh,” Soobin instructed, keeping his hands in place for ten seconds to assure himself. He sighed in relief as he lowered his hands, satisfied everything felt normal. “Daddy said you were feeling tired, so I wanted to make sure you don’t have a fever,” he explained.
Seokjin chuckled and pulled his son back into a cuddle, placing a kiss on his forehead. “Aww, my caring bunny! Appa is fine. Daddy must’ve said that because he wanted me to sleep longer.”
“Okay, but Daddy should’ve just said that! He got me worried, you know,” Soobin pouted.
“Yeah, baby, I know. I’ll scold him for making you worry for nothing,” Seokjin promised.
“You do that!” Soobin said, snuggling deeper into Seokjin’s embrace. Seokjin smiled and held him tightly.

After breakfast, the Jeon family decided to watch a movie together. Seokjin and Jungkook settled in the middle of the couch, with Soobin clinging to his Appa’s side and Jisoo resting her head on her Daddy’s shoulder.
“Rose is utterly stupid. How could she fall for that biker guy who knows nothing but smoking and picking fights?” Seokjin’s commentary on the movie was interrupted by the ringing of his phone. He placed the almost empty popcorn bowl on the table and glanced at the caller ID: “Little Brother.”
Picking up the call, he answered, “What?”
“Hello to you too, Hyung! I want to go shopping for Jimin,” Taehyung’s voice came through.
“Oh, thank you for telling me. Otherwise, I would have been worried sick about you,” Seokjin replied sarcastically.
“Hyunggg! Please come with me!” Taehyung whined.
“To carry your bags? No, thank you,” Seokjin said, fully aware of the consequences of shopping with Taehyung.
“I promise I’ll carry my own bags. Pleaseee, Hyungie!” Taehyung pleaded.
