It's noon. Kai is in his room, drawing stuff. He's bored, something he's not usually feeling. After a moment of being deep in thought, he suddenly had the sudden urge to draw.

He's in the middle of drawing a cherry blossom tree when Damon called out to him.

"Itzo~ Are you busy? Can we chat?" Damon said with a smile, walking over to Kai's room.

"No." Kai responded, as dry as the desert. Damon nodded stiffly and was about to walk back to the couch slowly when Kai called out to him.

"What do you want?" Kai asked across his room with a sigh, dropping his color pencil on the table.

Damon quickly ran over to Kai with sparkling eyes. "A small talk..?" Damon said with a sheepish smile.

"A small talk?" Kai thought and huffed to himself. "Fine. I'll be there in a moment."

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Kai got himself ready and walked over to the couch, where Damon was.

"I didn't think you'd actually show up." Damon said with a nervous chuckle as he fidgeted with the hem of his shirt.

"If you want to say something, spit it out already." Kai responded with a scoff and crossed his arms as he leaned back against the couch.

It took Damon a while before he finally spoke, avoiding eye contact with Kai.

"Why did you suddenly disappear? Our teachers said you moved out."

Kai's expression darkened. His hands curled into fists but he maintained a calm demeanor.

"None of your business."

"You didn't even speak to me or inform me."

"Weren't you busy with that curly-haired guy?"

"What?" Damon responded, his lips parted and he mastered up the courage to return Kai's gaze. "Who?"

"It was... Benedict, I guess." Kai spoke, shifting his position slightly. "Why are we even talking about this after 9 or 10 years?" Kai said with a huff.

Damon went silent and he kept fidgeting with the hem of his shirt, constantly looking around to avoid Kai's piercing eyes.

"I just wanted to. I wanted to clear things up. We didn't even end our 'relationship' properly. You disappeared without saying anything." Damon mumbled, but Kai heard it despite their distance.

"Then I'm sorry. Done." Kai said with a hint of irritation in his voice, but his voice cracks slightly.

"Done? Wait-" Damon tried to speak but Kai was already walking back to his room.

Kai didn't know how to handle the situation. He couldn't talk to Damon, not yet. He's not ready. Especially when the topic is his sudden disappearance in high school.

Kai locked himself inside his room. Mainly to avoid and keep Damon out. Damon is a pretty stubborn person and will try and talk to Kai every chance he gets. Kai is aware of it.

He's lost motivation now, too lazy to even continue his artwork. Oh how he wanted to go out and do stuff.

Damon on the other hand, is wasting his time laying on the sofa. He kept thinking about Kai now that they've both crossed paths again, and how Kai suddenly disappeared without a word.

He ended up dozing off, and dreamt about Kai.

Kai got a message from his friend, Barbara, asking to hang out and drink. Kai, who had a huge crush on Barbara, went without hesitation. He was well-dressed, and smelled good. Damon was woken up by the strong smell of Kai's perfume and got up with a yawn.
"Rice cakes." Damon thought as he inhaled the strong scent.

"Where are you going?"

"At a party. I'll be back late." Kai responded in a hurry as he dashed out, which left Damon confused.

"Be safe, Itzo." Damon said but Kai had already left.
