The cool air of the forest clung to my skin as Xerah and I walked back towards the stone circle. The feeling of the earth's power still thrummed within me, a steady pulse that resonated with every beat of my heart. It was a strange and exhilarating sensation, this newfound connection to the earth. It felt as if I had always been a part of it, as if the earth itself had welcomed me into its embrace."You are learning quickly, Mareen," Xerah said, her voice a low rumble that seemed to echo the earth's heartbeat. "You are a natural with the earth's power."
"It feels... strange," I admitted. "It's like a part of me that I never knew existed has been awakened."
"You have always been connected to the earth, Mareen," Xerah said, her eyes filled with a gentle warmth. "You are a Full Elemental, a rare being capable of wielding the power of all elements. The earth's power has simply been waiting for you to discover it."
I stopped in my tracks, my heart hammering in my chest. "A Full Elemental?" I whispered, a wave of disbelief washing over me. "But... but how?"
Xerah smiled, her eyes twinkling with ancient wisdom. "The elements are not bound by lineage, Mareen. They are forces of nature, and they choose their champions based on the strength of their connection, not their bloodline. You have a strong connection to all the elements, a connection that has been dormant for a long time."
"But why me?" I asked, my voice trembling with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. "Why would the elements choose me?"
"You are destined for greatness, Mareen," Xerah said, her voice filled with conviction. "You are the one who will restore the balance. You are the one who will defeat Ethan."
Her words were a heavy burden, but also a source of immense strength. I knew that the path ahead would be difficult, but I was ready to face it. I was ready to embrace my destiny.
As we reached the stone circle, I saw Clyd and Maya standing there, their faces etched with concern. They had seen the green glow emanating from me, the evidence of the earth's power flowing through my veins.
"What happened?" Clyd asked, his voice filled with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension.
"I've been learning to control my new power," I said, my voice filled with a newfound confidence. "Xerah has been guiding me."
"You're a natural," Maya said, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "It's amazing to see the earth's power flowing through you."
Lyra, her eyes still glowing with an ethereal light, stepped forward. "The prophecy has been fulfilled," she announced, her voice echoing with ancient wisdom. "The chosen one has emerged."
She turned her gaze to me, and a sense of awe settled upon the clearing. I felt a surge of power within me, a feeling of destiny unfolding. I was the chosen one, the one destined to defeat Ethan, the one who would restore the balance.
"But how do I defeat him?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly. "How do I stop the darkness that is spreading across the city?"
Lyra smiled, her eyes still glowing. "You will learn, Mareen. The path ahead will not be easy, but you will find the strength you need. We will guide you, teach you, and stand by your side."
Her words were a beacon of hope in the midst of my uncertainty. I was not alone in this fight. I had Clyd, Maya, Xerah, and Lyra, all of them standing with me, their strength and wisdom a source of comfort and encouragement.
"And what about Xerah?" I asked, my voice filled with concern. "Will she be alright? Is her connection to the earth still weakened?"
Xerah smiled, her eyes twinkling with a gentle warmth. "I am not gone, Mareen. I am here, within the earth itself. I will help you, guide you, and support you every step of the way."
