Jimin's grip on my hand softened as he led me back inside the house. "We can't stay here, Y/N," he said, his voice low but firm. "If anyone catches a glimpse of me, it could ruin everything. We'll have to leave the city, start somewhere fresh."

"Where would we go?" I asked.

He looked at me, a trace of a smile breaking through his seriousness. "Somewhere quiet. Maybe a small town by the coast, or a mountain cabin... Somewhere nobody knows us. Somewhere we can build a real life."

I reached for his hand, squeezing it tightly. "Then let's go."

Jimin's eyes softened, and he pulled me into a gentle embrace, resting his forehead against mine. "Are you sure? Once we leave, it's a clean slate. We can't come back."

"Then we'll make our own home," I whispered. "Wherever that may be."

Jimin's smile grew brighter. "Alright, we'll leave tomorrow morning." He grabbed my hand and said "come on, I'll help you pack your things." I smiled and went along with him.

Once we were done, we lay down on the bed facing each other. I was staring at him, still not believing that he's actually here.
I moved my hand to gently brush his cheeks.
"You're really here, aren't you?"
He smiled and leaned into my hand, kissing it.
"I'm here, and I'm never leaving you." He pulled me closer to him, hugging me tight.

We spent the night cuddling and remaining close to each other. We had to be in physical touch just to make sure we were still there and together. And so, we fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next day had finally come and we were ready to start our new chapter. He handed me an old baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses, then slipped on a worn beanie and tugged his hoodie low over his face.

The morning air was crisp as we stepped outside. It felt surreal, as though the world didn't know we were escaping, starting fresh, that it was just holding its breath alongside us, and so, we moved through the early morning mist, side by side.

After a few hours on the road, we finally stopped by a small lake surrounded by thick pines. Jimin parked the car and we sat in comfortable silence, watching the sun rise higher, casting golden reflections on the water. He reached over, holding my hand tightly, his gaze never leaving mine.

"This is it, Y/N," he murmured, a smile breaking through his usually guarded expression. "Our chance to build something beautiful."

And as I looked back at him, I knew that wherever we went, whatever we left behind, we'd make it through. Because together, we were no longer haunted by the past, we were free.

As the sun climbed higher in the sky, illuminating the serene landscape, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. Jimin's presence anchored me, and I couldn't help but smile as I gazed at the sparkling lake, a fresh start gleaming before us.

"We need to find a place to stay," Jimin said, breaking the comfortable silence. "Somewhere by the coast, a small town where nobody would recognize me."

"Exactly!" I exclaimed, my heart racing at the thought. "We could be near the ocean, a place where we can breathe and be free. What do you think about a little coastal town?"

Jimin's eyes brightened at the idea. "Yes! Somewhere secluded, where we can start over. Let's look for a small cottage by the beach."

With a renewed sense of purpose, we hopped back into the car, Jimin navigating the winding roads as we made our way toward the coast. The air grew salty, the landscape shifting from thick pines to sandy shores. As we drove, I felt the weight of the city slowly slipping away, replaced by the promise of waves and sunshine.

After a few hours on the road, we arrived at a small coastal town, its charm evident in the colorful cottages lining the streets and the sound of waves crashing nearby. The town felt alive, filled with laughter and the scent of saltwater.

"Let's explore," Jimin suggested, his excitement palpable. We parked the car and wandered through the streets, the sun warming our skin as we passed quaint shops and friendly locals. It felt like a world away from our past lives.

As we strolled, we found a small real estate office and decided to step inside. The agent greeted us with a warm smile, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Looking for a place by the coast, are you?" she asked.

"Yes," I replied, my heart racing at the thought of finding our new home. "We're hoping for something cozy and private."

"Let me show you a few options," she said, leading us to a small folder filled with listings. One caught my eye immediately: a charming little cottage just a few blocks from the beach.

"This one's perfect," I said, my voice tinged with excitement. "It looks so inviting."

The agent nodded, flipping through the pages. "It's a lovely place, newly renovated, and the beach is just a short walk away. You'll love the sunsets there."

Jimin squeezed my hand, his eyes reflecting the same hope I felt. "Let's go see it."

A short drive later, we stood in front of the cottage. It was everything I had envisioned, whitewashed walls, a small porch adorned with colorful flowers, and a view of the ocean peeking through the trees. The sound of the waves was a gentle reminder of the freedom that awaited us.

As we stepped inside, I could already picture us living there, creating our own sanctuary away from the chaos of our pasts. The sunlight poured in through the windows, illuminating the open space filled with potential.

"It's perfect," Jimin said, a smile spreading across his face as he looked around. "We could make this our home."

I nodded, overwhelmed by the beauty of the moment. "We can start fresh here, Jimin. Just us."

His gaze turned serious for a moment. "Are you sure you want this? It's a big change."

"More than anything," I replied, stepping closer to him. "I want to be with you, and this place feels like a new beginning."

"Then let's make it ours."

With a newfound determination, we returned to the real estate office and made the arrangements. The cottage would be ours, and soon, we'd be living in our own little piece of paradise by the coast.

As the sun began to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, we stood on the beach, hand in hand, watching the waves roll in. The salty breeze tousled our hair, and I felt a sense of joy swell within me.

"This is it, Y/N," Jimin said, his voice barely rising above the sound of the ocean. "Our fresh start."

"Yes," I replied, looking up at him, my heart filled with hope. "A place where we can be ourselves."

And as we stood there, with the sun dipping below the horizon, I knew that together we could face whatever came our way. We were finally free, and I couldn't wait to see what the future held for us in our new home by the coast.
