Sixty degrees that come in threes.

Watches from within birch trees.

Saw his own dimension burn.

Misses home and can't return.

Says he's happy. He's a liar.

Blame the arson for the fire.

If he wants to shirk the blame,

He'll have to invoke my name.

One way to absolve his crime.

STANLEY!

—————————————————

2003, Las Vegas, casino, Stanley Pines age: 38

He could feel it tonight was his lucky night he'd been swindling these suckers at the casino all night and the best part? They kept coming back he's basically playing them like a fiddle

Though it looks like some of them are getting a bit too wound up about their loss, it looks like he needs to step back for a while "well will you look at that, all that playing has sure made me thirsty, imma go over there now!" He points to the bar and collects his winnings, come to papa sweet sweet cash I'm coming

"Well that was close, hey would ya get me a cold beer?" He asked the bartender once he got to the bar who only nodded and walked away, from the corner of his eye, it was love at first sight, short ginger hair mostly under a black bandana with enchanting golden eyes staring at him from across the bar was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen

He decided to walk closer and when he did he could read what her neon pink shirt read '30 & very flirty' well then why doesn't he test that

"Hello, gorgeous" he leaned on the bar counter "hmmm?" She looked him up and down and smirked she had a weird sharp golden tooth "hey yourself handsome" she leaned forward looking interested, so she was flirty, great!

"You know....I just won a few games" He told her as her eyes sparkled "oh, did you?" She asked him "yes so would the lady like a drink?" He offered and she laughed "oh I'm not much of a lady but hmmm... sure" so he called the bartender over "I'm.....Marilyn" she told him "well my lady, I'm Henry", they talked they drank and they played more games in the casino floor reaching for the same slot handle they touched hands and he thought he must really be in love, though some he had to explain since she didn't seem to know how to play many of them and together they cleared the floor it was like they were soulmates, he'd never been more in love in his life

Next thing he knew they were in a chapel with Marilyn wearing a veil and holding a bouquet signing some papers and posing for a picture and they drank a little more as they headed to a hotel room with them giggling and when he woke up the next morning he was alone and all his winnings were gone and....his keys "the Stanley mobile!!" He quickly put on some clothes and ran to the reception where he asked the receptionist if he'd seen the lady he came in with and he just pointed outside where as soon as he opened the doors his car being chased by multiple police cars was driven off by Marilyn.....so in the end she left him too huh should have expect that from another scammer but....was it too much to expect anything different?

Later he luckily did find his car tucked into an alleyway a few scratches and bumps but mostly intact though his money was gone and his things were strewn about but his keys were on the floor and Marilyn nowhere to be found later he discovered she disappeared into the canyon
