Syo Kurusu | So Much for "Just Friends"

Hey you guys, finally another one shot. I've just started back to school and I'm readjusting so I hope you guys understand my inconsistent posting. When I originally planned this book I thought, "Hell yeah! Constant posting since is summer!" When I hadn't been paying attention to the dates and school was only a couple a weeks away. Sorry again.

Well I hope you guys enjoy and if you'd like to listen to the song that gave me the inspiration for this one shot it is Baltimore by All Time Low.

You sit next to a tree, your back pressed up against it.  The wind is blowing through you (h/l) (h/c) hair.  You breath in the cool fall time air, your eyes closed.  Complete peace, not a sound to be heard.

"(Y/n)-chan!" A voice yells behind you.  You open your eyes and sigh knowing who the voice belongs to.  You turn your head and smile at the short blond boy, Syo Kurusu.

"Hi there, Syo-kun~" you say to him.  A small blush dusts across his pale cheeks as he scratches the back of his neck awkwardly.

"A-ah, I was wondering if you'd like to come to the carnival with me, (y/n)-chan," Syo says looking away from your shocked face.  "Only because I have an extra ticket and no one else wants to come," he says defensively.  You frown slightly at his last comment.

"Syo-kun, everyone else is going, so why are you lying to me?" You ask.  All Haruka had been talking about lately was going to the carnival and meeting up with the members of STARISH.  Plus, they were even doing a free concert at the carnival.

Syo's mouth drops open, "Wha-?!  How'd you know?!"  You giggle at his shock, it was really adorable.

"That's all Haruka-chan's been talking about, and you are doing a free show there, so naturally, the whole school knows," you explain with a small smile.  Syo sighs. "So why don't you go with the others?"

"I wanted to go with you, okay?" He whispers.

You blush bright red and stutter, "W-what?"

"I wanted to go with you, (y/n)-chan!" Syo yells slightly, his face red in embarrassment. "We barely get to hang out anymore since we started STARISH, so I thought we could go to the carnival together. As friends." Your heart sinks.

"As friends?" You say quietly, your voice tinted with hurt. Syo just nods, looking at the ground instead of you. You smile at him, "Sure, Syo-kun, I'll go with you." His head snaps up, staring at you in shock.

"Really?"

You giggle, a hand covering you mouth, and say, "Of course."

"Okay then. Meet me outside the school at six on Saturday, okay?" Syo asks. You smile and nod happily. "See you then, (y/n)-chan!" He yells as he runs off.

You stand at gate of the school nervously fixing at your outfit.  You'd spent over an hour picking it out since you wanted to be comfortable, but cute at the same time. Even though Syo probably wouldn't even notice the effort.  You had finally decided on a plain (color) shirt with a jean vest thrown over it, black jeans and a pair of (color or design) converse. (A/n: Sorry if this isn't how you'd dress. I just thought simple, cute and comfortable soo yeah.)  You sigh, tucking a piece of your (h/c) hair behind your ear.  You look up from the ground to see Syo running straight towards you.
