+•Ezra's POV•+

Fuck. She's much more beautiful in real life than on printed piece of paper. My strong arm was around her waist as we practically stared into each other's eyes.

She clears her throat and quickly backs away, "My apologies."

I give her a small smile, "You're fine."

Yeah, she is fine.

I sadly hear my captain speak to me through the ear piece, "Make conversation, Grant."

Like I wasn't going to fucking do that.

"So are you new around here?"

She nods, "Mhm, I actually got here not too long ago."

"And you're already at a casino, hm?"

She laughs a bit and tilts her head as we keep eye contact making my legs almost weaken, "Well, isnt that was Las Vegas is mainly known for?"

"Got me there. So what's your name?"

She raises one of her perfectly arches brows, "Slow your roll, pretty boy. What if you're some type of criminal, hm?"

Ironic.

"Fair point."

"But, the names Ashley."

Well that isn't what the document said. Man I need to stop talking to myself.

"Ashley?"

"Mhm, what's yours?"

Before I get to answer my captain cuts me off again through this fucking eat piece, "Tell her a fake name."

Well no shit Sherlock.

"Cole."

"Nice name." She says with a small smile making her deep dimples visible.

"Thank you, Ashley."

I notice how she looked a little confused at the name before realizing and nodding.

"You have an accent, are you from here." She asks with what I think was genuine curiosity.

"I'm from Colombia, came here when I was nineteen."

She nods and her eyes show some sort of interest, "Well that's nice, I've heard it's a beautiful place."

"It really is. But what brings you to the big Las Vegas?" I ask her tuning out my boss in my ear.

I watch as she glances up at the ceiling and her eyes seem to look like they're watering up, "O-oh I can't say."

"I won't judge you."

"W-well my best friend, she was in an accident not too long ago, and she always wanted to come to Las Vegas together. So it just felt like I could try to visit here and it reminds me so much of her." I see a single tear fall down her cheek.

Damn, shes a good ass actress.

"Comfort her, Grant." My boss yells slightly.

I huff a little, "Would you like a hug or something?"

Confusion feigns on her face but it leaves as soon at is appeared. She smiles softly and nods, her smile making my face heat up.

I give her an awkwardly stiff hug after a couple seconds she pulls away, "Thanks."

"You're welcome."

She quickly walks passed me and my hands trail go my pocket for the diamond necklace and the matching earrings I was supposed to be bringing to a safe. I search around in my pocket and theres nothing there.
