Author's Pov

Days passed in a blur, your resolve unshaken, yet you would often catch yourself staring into space, thoughts drifting to him. Pouring your eyes out for the person who didn't think for once before breaking your heart, trust!.

Today was the day. Your wedding day. As you stood before the mirror, the reflection staring back at you seemed like a stranger. "You're getting married today".

The words echoed emptily in the vast room. You felt no joy, no anticipation, only a heavy dread settling in your stomach. You were about to promise your life to a man you didn't love, while the one you did was nowhere near. "Too late for regrets now".

You were ready to give up on Jungkook for the sake of your family, but when he did that you're unable to accept it, you realize how much it hurts, how much your body ached to be with him, how much your eyes longed for his presence, but could you do anything now? The answer is no, A big no.

You took a deep breath, steeling yourself for the ordeal ahead. Too late for regrets now. Too late for anything but moving forward, even if it meant a lifetime of pretending, of smiling through the pain.Your heart felt like a heavy, icy stone in your chest, each step echoing with the finality of your situation. Today, you would become someone else's wife.

Dressed in a pristine white cream gown, your veil obscuring your face, you walked down the aisle robotically. You walked out to the ceremony, your heart a cold, heavy stone in your chest.

Just when you opened the door a lady came in front of you startling you, "Mam sorry for scaring you, I'm here to inform you that the wedding halls are exchanged, and your wedding is going to be held on hall 2"

You narrowed your eyes, "Hall 2?" your voice echoed, your voice muffled behind the veil. You nodded absently at the woman, your mind racing. You took a deep breath, "Thank you for letting me know. I'll go there immediately."

"Mam let me escort you there" the lady said flashing you a sweet smile but you noticed something a mischievous glint in her eyes. You shrugged it off.

Once you reached the hall you didn't look up, your eyes fixed on the ground, your mind racing with different thoughts, thoughts about the future, thoughts about Jungkook, you didn't raise your gaze at that time too when a rough hand held yours taking you inside the wedding hall.

You assumed the man as your father and tightened your grip on his hand while walking down the aisle, the chapel was grand, filled with people you barely knew. You could feel their eyes on you, could hear their murmurs of approval at your beauty, your poise. If only they knew.

You didn't look up to see the person you're getting married with, in fact you don't even want to look at him, your eyes burned with unshed tears as you reached the altar, Jungkook's memory never leaving your mind.

Your hand was passed to another big palm, the touch something familiar but you kept your gaze lowered, refusing to look at the man you are supposed to marry. Instead, Jungkook's face swam before your eyes. His smile, his laughter, his touch. The memories were bittersweet, each one a dagger to your heart.

The priest began the ceremony, his words washing over you unheard. You stood stiffly beside the groom, your hands clenched tightly together to hide their shaking, veil hiding your face, tears threatening to spill over.

"Now it's time for the vows" the priest said, his voice resonating in the silent chapel.

"Do you, Jeon Jungkook, take Kang Yn as your lawfully wedded wife? Will you love her, comfort her, respect her and keep her happy, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, for sickness and health, be faithful to her and cherish her till the day you die?"
