"See ya tomorrow, Jay," yelled Kai on his way out. "Yeah see ya tomorrow" Jay mumbled to himself. Jay hated going home because the only time his mother was home was when she was drunk. "Hello" Jay said as he cautiously entered his house. No response. Jay sighed in relief, he was alone. He started to work on his art when he got a call. He answered and it was Kai. "Hey Jay," Kai started. "I just wanted to see how you're doing" "You seemed a little off today are you alright?" "I'm fine, thanks" Jay replied, hoping that was convincing enough. "Okay... by the way did you finish the homework?" Kai responded. "Oh shit no, thanks" Jay said as he searched through his backpack. "No problem, I can help you too," laughed Kai. "Why are you laughing?" Jay questioned."I just don't think anyone has heard you swear like ever." Kai said, laughing even more. "Yeah well, other than you I don't think that anyone really bothers to listen to me." Jay sighed. The other ninja hangout with Jay, but only Kai really listens to him. Jay's happy to at least have someone listen to him because he has both thanatophobia and severe anxiety/panic attacks. Kai doesn't know about his fear or panic attacks, but he always feels like something is off. Whenever Jay seems a little off more than usual that day, Kai normally calls him."You know you can talk to me, right?" Kai said, a little serious."It's fine," Jay replied. Suddenly Jay's breathing became faster. Why right now he wondered. Should he hang up on Kai or should he talk to him? His thoughts were interrupted by Kai."Jay are you okay, you're breathing really fast""I-i'm fine" Jay replied, his voice shaking."Jay, look at me and just breathe" Jay started to cry. He didn't want to expose himself to anyone. Especially not like this. He hated seeming weak. And this made him look so weak."Jay, you'll be okay. Just breathe and listen to my voice." Jay listened to Kai talk. It was actually really calming. His breathing finally went back to normal."Jay, are you okay?""I'm so s-sorry Kai" Jay choked through tears."There's no reason to be sorry, Jay" Kai reassured him"Can you please tell me what's going on?" Kai asked gently."Well..." Jay started.
