The weeks had flown by in a blur. I had finished 'Midnight City' and handed it in to my professor. Graduation was getting closer and closer, soon id finally have my degree in art and i would start my life.

Id wanted to be a professional artist for as long as i could remember, and i had always been good at drawing. Being an only child meant being alone a lot, which is when i would draw and paint the most. For every birthday, Christmas, and holiday i could think of, i would always ask for art supplies. I won many contest and awards throughout my academic years, which made for a great resume.

My love for art was never ending. I had always wanted to own a gallery, combined with a coffee shop, combined with paint nights. It was a lot—i know, but it was my dream and I wasn't afraid to chase it.

Zayn had been the same. Quiet and cold. I would say hi, just to try and make the air between us more comfortable, but he would just look at me and then go back to what he was doing. It was weird.

He had a revolving door of girls over. What did they see in him? Nothing deeper than his looks i bet. Did he talk to them? If so what did he even say?

"I can't believe we graduate in three months!" Kat said as we walked through campus.

Kat was majoring in business, probably to take some role in her family's company.

"I know, part of me is sad...the other part is happy." I say giving a small smile, walking next to her.

"Are you still planning on staying here after?" She questions.

"For right now, yes. But we'll see how everything pans out before i make a set and stone decision." I say.

Staying in Bellenau would be the best possible way to open my business, especially because a lot of people already know about my planned business idea, and this community is extremely supportive.

We arrived at the campus cafe, Kat and I haven't been here since the fire that happened almost a month ago.

"Can I get a London fog?" I ask the barista.

"Same thing for me!" Kat follows with her bubbly personality.

We go and find a booth to sit at to try and get some work done. A few moments later the barista brings us our drinks.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you, my family going to Fiji for spring break! They invited you so i wanted to ask if you wanted to come?" Kat says, giving me a wide gleaming smile.

Fiji? Holy shit.

"I—uh" I stuttered.

"Totally paid for. They would love if you came." She pleaded.

"I don't know...that sounds amazing but i don't want to intrude." I tell her.

I would love to go, but i hate being a burden—which is what id feel like.

"I promise you—you won't, they really want you to come. Plus would you rather stay alone at Zayn's?" She questions.

Alone?

"Zayn's going?" I ask.

"Yeah my parents will most likely force him." She says, taking a zip of her drink.

"Ill have to think about it." I say.

I definitely didn't want to be alone at Zayn's, but i also didnt want to be on 'family' vacation with him.

"Yeah just let me know soon cause we'll be leaving in 2 weeks." She said, pulling out her laptop. March has just crept up on us, and I hadn't even remembered spring break was in a couple weeks.
