Chapter 11

Su Yin watches Jin Bao as the omega fidgets with his hands and shifts from one foot to the other.

"Don't be nervous, Jin Bao. You aren't in trouble; I only need to talk to you." Su Yin tells him. "Physician Que knows more about treating male omegas than anyone else in the land. He has made it his life's work, where others consider it a useless study. Do you understand?"

Jin Bao gives a little not at this, Su Yin suspects he really doesn't, but he thinks that this omega will do anything they ask him to if it will help his master.

"Que Siming is an eccentric person. Your master will have a difficult time, there is a reason why male omegas are rare and don't often have their own children. Male omega pregnancies are difficult under the best of circumstances. They can result in the death of both the omega and the child. Jin Xiao Bao will face additional difficulties because he has been separated from his mate, making this even harder for him. Que Siming is the only one that can help him now, but he doesn't want to stay and treat him. However, he agrees to stay as long as you are willing to serve him." Su Yin gives the servant a pitying look. "The Jins took you in when you were young right? Now you have a chance to repay them by helping your young master. Are you willing to serve Physician Que for the sake of your young master's life?"

"I'm willing." Jin Bao says without hesitation. "My young master treats me extremely well. I'm willing to do anything for him." He turns to leave.

"Wait," Su Yin says standing up. "It's just that the doctor has some peculiar interests. You'll have to bear with him and not offend him."

"Don't worry, Your Grace. Aside from martial arts, I'm best at serving people. I promise I will serve him well. That way he will care for my young master without any worries." Jin Bao gives a brilliant smile at this and leaves before Su Yin can say anything else.

"Jin Bao," Jin Xiao Bao corners him as soon as he comes back into the room, "you don't have to do anything you don't want to." Zhao Cai is also watching Jin Bao with a concerned expression.

"Young master, I swear I volunteered to serve the doctor myself, I wasn't forced at all." Jin Bao says, holding up his hand.

"Really?" Xiao Bao asks doubtfully.

"Yes, physician Que greatly appreciates my talents. I'm the best at serving people." Jin Bao says.

"He's scary and eccentric though. What if he beats you?" Xiao Bao asks him.

"Young master. He wouldn't do that. Even if he did, I could endure it." Jin Bao says proudly.

Xiao Bao stands as if to argue some more, but just then Su Yin comes into the room. "Enough, Que Siming isn't a monster. He just needs someone to serve him, Jin Bao will do a good job for the doctor. You just have to trust me, like you used to."

"I don't have money now though; how can I pay the doctor or even for the medicine he will need?" Xiao Bao asks.

Su Yin pinches his cheek as if he were still a child and says, "Let me worry about that. You just must listen to me and not be so willful."

Xiao Bao looks at him suspiciously, "I won't abandon Huai En. If that is the price I won't let the doctor treat me at all."

Su Yin gives a sigh at this, "Did I mention that alpha? However, you are in no condition to go looking for him or to even leave the estate. This is all I meant, you must wait here and let physician Que treat you."

"Oh, I guess that will be alright then. I probably shouldn't be seen near here anyway; it would be bad for you if people knew you were harboring a criminal." Xiao Bao answers.
