Chapter 2

June pov
"Apa I missed you" I whined like a baby.
"You're getting married" he said and ended the call. Wtf he didn't even greet me and here I was whining like a baby. I pouted.
I called him back immediately and he picked up after four rings.
"Appa" I whined
"Yes Oh-Jun" he replied tiredly cause he knew I was bout to rant.
"I said I missed you" I continued .
"Hump, alright baby I'm really sorry okay? and you know I missed you a lot" he said sweetly with a calm voice that's quite the opposite of the Mr Song people know who always looked strict and scary.
"Awwwwn dad. I know everyone misses me. Well you're quite lucky cause I'm done with my shoot here in Korea and I'm coming back to New York soon" I said proudly and he chuckled and suddenly stopped.
"Junie dear you know daddy loves you right?" He asked sweetly and I answered
"Yes I know I mean everyone loves me" I said bluntly and he scoffed
"Whattt I mean who wouldn't love me?. I'm sweet" I continued cheekily.
"Darling you're getting married" he said seriously
"No dad Jason hasn't proposed yet" I replied funnily. Yes, Jason is my boyfriend and I love him soo much and he loves me too. And I can't think of anyone else to spend the rest of my life with.
"Not that useless boyfriend of yours it's to Nathan (Gu-Won's English name)" he replied and I was pissed.
"Dad Jason isn't useless. He's the man I love seeing respect him for that" I said firmly
"And there's no way In rotten hell will I get married to Nathan. That stone. Dad have you seen his facial expression, that dude doesn't smile, he's stiff. There's no way I'm getting married to him." I made up my mind.
"Then get ready to see Jason in his grave" he said sternly and my eyes widened. Like wtf don't tell me my own dad wants to kill my very own boyfriend.

"Hahahahaha" I laughed
"Tell me it's a joke Apa, you're not gonna kill him" I said a little scared.
"I'm dead serious" he said and I panicked.
"Oh no fuck I'm son my way" I said and changed into a nice gown and flip flops, took my car keys and off I went to the airport.

I took the private jet instead. When we arrived at New York, I wore a sunshade a face mask and a face cap so I wouldn't be recognized. And of course my dad send bodyguards. After over two hours of driving, we arrived at the Song Mansion.
It's a very big mansion which is one of the biggest in New York. It has a huge water fountain and huge garden with various flowers of different types of colors. It's a very beautiful sight to behold. My mom is a big lover of nature so it's understandable that we have the biggest and most beautiful garden in the whole of New York.
I got inside and looking at the interior decor it screamed money. It was so large and lavish. If you were new you would probably get lost. I went to the sitting room to meet my mom, dad, Evie( Gu-Won 's younger brother).
" My daughter" my mom screamed upon seeing me finished and I chuckled and gave her a along tight hug and she returned it with same passion.
I could hear her light sob and I couldn't blame her. It's been like 6 months and she hasn't seen any of her children I'm returning home like a prodigally daughter.
"Hehe mom I'm here no need to cry" I said. I said.
*Pah* my mom slapped me and my face stings.
"You unfilal daughter know dare you return now at six long months" she say and I kind felt guilty. She had 3 children and yet she was alone how sad?.
"What's the use of staying in this huge mansion if there's nobody to stay with me" she said and my dad came into the picture and held mom.
" it's okay darling don't be dramatic she has been busy" dad said
"Of course you'll support her. Like father like daughter " she rolled her eyes. I laughed and I jumped on my dad wrapping my legs around his waist.
"Appa" I cried and he started patting me like a baby.
"Stop crying love" my father said and I got gone while he cleaned my tears with this thumb.
"Honey you'll keep on spoiling this kid" mom hissed and walked back to her sit and dad followed her.
             "Unnie"(meaning younger sister)  Evie screamed jumping on me and I laughed.
          "Oh Unnie I missed you so much, you promised to come back early" she pouted like a kid and I chuckled.
           "I've been busy Evie" I smiled
            Well Evie is Nathan's younger sister, she's in college and still acts like a kid.
            "Aunt, uncle" I greeted her parents with a bow and hugged them.I bursted into tears almost immediately.
           "Aunt is it true I'm getting married to Gu-Won" I said with a little hope and to my greatest disappointment she nodded.
              "Huh but I don't love him. He's not my type at all. He's stiff and he doesn't smile and he is scary" I said said and she smiled.
         "Don't worry you'll learn to love each other" she said and i nodded smiling. There's no way I'll learn to love him I hate his guy. "After all you were both childhood best friends". My mom said and the smile on my face vanished.
           "Were mom. We WERE best friends" I repeated the 'were'. I stood up and went to my room
         Yes, that right, we were best friends but that's in the past now. What happens is the present and future and that's final I can't marry him, not when I hav Jason. Speaking of Jason I'll go pay him a surprise visit since he doesn't know I'm back yet.
           I got to my room and started looking at everything. Nothing really changed. I walked to the small table there and picked a picture frame.
         I looked at it with a sad smile, in it was 12 years old me and 15 years old Nathan. In it I was smiling widely and he was smiling too but not directed at the camera it was at me like he could watch me smile the whole day without getting tired. The look in his eyes oh it spoke volumes. What was that in his eyes? Oh how I wish I knew but it doesn't matter now and I don't think it will ever.
            I chuckled when I remembered 12 years old me nagging that it wasn't the perfect picture. Oh I remember I was angry at him for not looking at the camera. But I know deep don inside his little gesture of melted my eyes and just that look in his eyes held a number of hidden unsaid emotions..............

    Hi lovely readers it's me again 😘 I know it took me long to update but I'm sorry it's hard. I actually hav dis story written till like chapter sixty something so I could update more often but there's one thing. Time. It seems to not be on my side.
      But I'll keep trying and I'll try to update twice a week I could even give double chapters 😉 but that's if u vote and comment 😅.
         Also like I said it my first story on this app actually any novel app for that matter so I'd like if you encourage me.
