The first day of classes at the Royal Academy began with the kind of energy only a new school year could bring. The students buzzed with excitement as they made their way to their respective classrooms, chatting about summer adventures, gossiping about the aristocratic elite, and sizing up potential rivals.

Anastasia sat at her desk, twirling a pen between her fingers, her thoughts drifting now and then to Maelis Howard. Just the thought of their first meeting earlier that morning brought a smile to her lips.

The academy's schedule was unlike any ordinary school. Each subject held a kind of magic-some literal, others more subtle. For the students, it wasn't just about mastering spells or formulas but understanding themselves and the world around them.

Anastasia felt a flutter of excitement as she glanced at the day's timetable. It was filled with a mix of humanities, magic, and physical activities, everything

As Anastasia & Celine walked, they passed groups of students discussing their upcoming lessons, and Anastasia caught sight of Maelis, standing alone near the fountain. The dark-haired girl seemed to radiate an aura of quiet confidence, her expression inscrutable as she watched the bustling crowd.

"Come on, we can't be late!" Celine urged, dragging Anastasia along as they hurried to their first class of the day: History of Magic.

In a grand lecture hall adorned with ancient tapestries, Professor Ashford stood at the front, his long white beard twitching with enthusiasm. He was surrounded by dusty tomes and magical artifacts, each with a story of its own.

"Welcome, students! Today, we delve into the Age of Enchantment, when magic first intertwined with the fabric of our world!" he exclaimed, his voice booming across the room.

As he spoke, shimmering illusions of legendary wizards and famous battles flickered to life around them. Students leaned forward in their seats, captivated by tales of ancient spells and magical treaties that had shaped history.

Anastasia took meticulous notes, stealing glances at Maelis, who sat with her arms crossed, feigning indifference. Yet, Anastasia noticed the slight glimmer of interest in Maelis's eyes as Professor Ashford recounted the story of the first curse ever cast.

"Curses are a fascinating part of our history," Professor Ashford said, his eyes twinkling. "Understanding them is essential for mastering magic today. They can be a force of protection or destruction-be careful how you wield them!"

After a spirited History of Magic class, the students filed into Alchemy. The classroom was a maze of bubbling cauldrons and intricate diagrams covering the walls. Professor Larkin, a tall man with a long beard and twinkling eyes, introduced the lesson.

"Alchemy is the art of transformation," he explained, pacing the room. "Today, we will create a basic elixir of strength."

Anastasia and Celine worked together, carefully measuring ingredients and mixing them in their cauldron. Celine was exuberant, tossing in ingredients with wild abandon.

"Just a pinch of this and a dash of that!" she said, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm.

"Careful, or we might end up with a potion that explodes," Anastasia replied with a laugh.

As the cauldrons bubbled, Professor Larkin moved about the room, offering encouragement and critique. The atmosphere was charged with a mix of excitement and tension as the students navigated the art of alchemy.

After a long hour of Alchemy, it was time for Arcane Combat. As they moved to the Arcane Combat arena, a wide expanse surrounded by stone walls and shimmering wards, the atmosphere shifted to one of anticipation. The air crackled with energy as students gathered, ready to test their skills and push their limits. A sense of exhilaration mingled with nerves hung in the air-this was where friendships could deepen or rivalries ignite.
