Mangle, Roxanne, and I didn't say anything to each other as I drove the 3 of us back to the house. It had been only 10 minutes since we uncovered those tapes from the old pizzeria. To say I was in a huge state of shock and horror would be an understatement. I was numb. I couldn't think. I was paralyzed. I didn't know if the girls were in the same state I was in, but I could safely believe that.
The light ahead turned red and I hit the brakes. The truck came to a stop. We waited for the light to turn green so we could continue the journey home, a safe haven for the three of us to regain our composure and get our thoughts right.
I tried my best to snap out of it, but it proved to be too strong. Everything from what was revealed in the tapes corroborated with what my mother had told me yesterday. To think that the past would come back from the ashes was troubling, but also relieving. This was what we all needed to prove that Fazbear Entertainment didn't deserve to be in business. I was going to lose a job, but it would be worth it to get rid of that terrible company.
"Um, Mihael?" came a voice, which snapped me out of my trance. I looked to see Mangle looking at me with worry. Roxanne was doing the same. Roxanne was sitting on Mangle's lap this time. It almost looked very comical.
"What is it?" I asked, trying to sound casual, though I knew I failed miserably.
"Are you okay?" Roxanne asked, her tone filled with worry. "Mangle and I noticed that you looked pale and were sweating like crazy. Is everything okay?"
I was alarmed by her words. I wiped at my forehead with my right hand to see if I was sweating bullets. Sure enough, beads of sweat stained my hand. I guess I was so entranced that I didn't notice I was sweating. The thing was that it wasn't hot in the truck so it couldn't have been that.
I did my best to get a hold of myself before wiping my hand on my pants. I turned my full attention back to the road just in case the light turned green. As much as I wanted to say that I was fine, I decided to be truthful.
"Not really," I said slowly.
"Why?" Mangle asked. "Is it from what we uncovered?"
'No, it's from the fact that you just answered your own question, you goofball,' I thought to myself. As much as I wanted to say it, I decided to keep it to myself, despite the fact that I found it very amusing.
"Yes," I said slowly. "Everything we heard from those tapes, they all confirmed everything my mother was saying. Well, maybe not all of it, but some of it. This proves that the company knew about all of what had been happening, but they decided to not say anything or do anything about it. They didn't care how many people died in that restaurant working as the nightguard. There is no doubt in my mind that the only thing they cared about was money. If that weren't the case, then why would they keep what the animatronics did at night a secret?"
We all thought about it. Honestly, money was all the company cared about. If anything did happen at their establishment, they would do whatever it took to prevent themselves from rightfully getting sued by people. That was all they were; cowards who didn't want to face the consequences of their actions.
The light turned green and all the vehicles began to move. I began to drive down the street that led back to the house. So far, Mangle and Roxanne didn't say anything, which was fine by me. That told me that they were thinking about what I said carefully. I was right, after all.
Fazbear Entertainment used the illusion that they cared about the people who came, but in all reality, they didn't. These scumbags would do whatever it took to stay out of legal trouble. The best example was when Cress tried to gain my silence by having me sign an agreement to free him from any liability. I refused and gave him a piece of my mind.
