Besides being bitten by some magical rat, or at least the theory that Y/n made, this was so surreal, seeing as how she was face to face with her new boss, Neon J.
Neon J was very much known in the districts, especially his domain of the Metro Division, a really high tech place but not really comforting as the Natura District where Y/n made her home in.
It was hard not to remember Neon J's story, once a human who was a toy maker making wooden toys before being sent to the Border War, while the in game lore didn't give much on how bad the Border War, but from Neon J's new form of mostly metal and machine and very little give aways of the human he once was, he had quite the personality.
The war veteran was like a drill sergeant, commanding and a bit eccentric, like he was in a sort of play, his voice sometimes go into that autotune when he sang, which his voice was actually all of 1010's voices.
Y/n stood up straighter than before as Tatiana guided her over to Neon J, hearing how strict he was, Y/n was sure that he was just as eccentric as he was in the game.
While she did have a lot of memories of watching playthroughs, reading up on the lore of the game world, even playing the game herself when she got the money to pay for it. While she was a bit rusty in terms of remembering the game, Neon J and the other main characters were recognizable since they stuck out to her.
"Y/n, meet your new boss, Neon J. You will be put under him as another one of his.... Employees. Neon J, meet your new mechanic, the one who's been making a name for herself in the Natura District." Introduced Tatiana while Y/n was only sweated.
