May 9th, Stellar Year 2150

The Eighty-Six had arrived at the Rogvolod City Terminal and were moving their juggernauts off the train. Half of the Eighty-Six strike package arrived that day while the other half would arrive on the next transport meaning about two thousand Eighty-Six had officially been deployed. They had to transport in stages with breaks in order to avoid the watchful eye of a Legion in the area known as the Rabe, a Observational Control Type.

Y/N: Theo, how's it coming along?

Theo: Got about a fourth of the juggernauts already heading to the temporary HQ. The rest are waiting for the next window.

Y/N: Good. Most of the unit is heading to base with the juggernauts. It's really just us platoon leaders, a few others and the Vanadis crew still here.

Theo: Hey, for such a luxurious city...shouldn't there be I don't know, lights?

Shin: This part of the city is in a blackout. Most of the civilians here are inside their homes trying to stay warm with the little heat they have.

Theo: This place that desperate?

Y/N: It's a militaristic monarchy, the rich get all the heat they want, the commoners survive with whatever's left.

Theo: Well...ain't that some shit.

???: Nouzen.

The three of them turned their heads and saw a old familiar face looking at them.

Y/N: Been awhile huh Marcel.

Shin: I thought you retired from the military like Eugene?

Marcel: I can't pilot Vanagandr's anymore with my leg being what it is. Happened during the large scale offensive, a compound fracture apparently.

Y/N: Isn't that when...?

Marcel: When bone cuts through the skin. Yeah, wasn't pretty to say the least. Also what the hell do you mean "retired"? I was on the last mission with you guys.

Shin: You were?

Theo: To be fair, we weren't anywhere near the Vanadis during that.

Y/N: Shin and I were also immediately taken to medical afterwards.

Marcel: Well unlike you Eighty-Six we special officers can't put food on the table if we quit the army.

Y/N: But you could've got a cushy office job like Eugene. Why still come to the frontlines?

Marcel: I still have something to fight for, and I'll be damned if I quit fighting just because of this. It may not be on the frontlines but it's better than nothing.

Shin: I see. I checked the registration of the 177th Armored Division to see if you had died, didn't see your name so I thought you retired.

Marcel: Didn't think you cared. Always figured you didn't give two shits about anyone or anything around you.

Y/N: Marcel...how about you shut up before I take out the other leg.

Marcel: Alright I hear you...damn it...

Marcel walked away and soon Federica stopped by with the guys.

Federica: I swear...

Y/N: what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be heading to HQ?

Federica: Uh...I may've slipped out of the back of the truck when nobody was looking...

Y/N: *sigh* Figures.

Shin: You do know we're not going right to HQ right? We're heading to Arcs Styrie.

Federica: Well...I'm the original Spearhead mascot! So I'm staying!

Y/N: What about you know...the fact that you're a Esper that the United Kingdom doesn't know about?!

Federica: That's no concern. The common people of the Federacy didn't even know my face, only the highest of nobles have ever seen me. The lower nobility believed that the Imperial house's abilities have diminished as repeated mixed marriages thinned our blood. Even the Idinarohk's Amethystus would be hard pressed to learn that I am the empress Augusta.

Theo: Amethystus?

Federica: It's what the Idinarohk's line of Esper's are called. I do believe some generals on the western front harbor suspicions about my survival, after all a body was never produced...mainly due to a certain someone's audio files that were played after the battle with Kiri.

Shin: *Sigh* So since Ernst knows, there's no danger of him betraying you?

Federica: On the contrary...that man is a fire-breathing dragon. He puts ideals before all else and would cast himself and the rest of the world into the flames for the sake of upholding them- with an obsession and fixation that cannot be restrained. Honestly, that man is such a dragon. If I were to be set up as a symbol to capsize the Federacy...If human-kind was foolish enough to put the Federacy and the rest of the world in danger before the conclusion of the war with the Legion, over pointless greed...he would likely think we were all better off going extinct.

Y/N: So in short...he'll side with us as long as his ideals aren't threatened.

Federica: That's right. If things start going down in a bad direction...he would burn the world simply because he wouldn't think we would deserve to live.

Y/N, Theo and Shin all looked at each other as if talking without saying a world. Theo shrugged, Y/N closed his eyes and leaned against a crate while Shin simply sighed.

Shin: Let's finish unpacking. We have places to be.

Y/N: Uh Shin...I think we're being watched.

Y/N pointed on the top of a building as a figure was standing there watching them.

Shin, Federica and Theo all looked up seeing the person as well before they eventually walked away

Y/N: Well...that was weird.

Theo: Seems the United Kingdom are keeping tabs on us.

Shin: As expected. Nothing new, let's just get going.
