{{{E L I Z A's POV}}}
The day was fresh and crisp, with a gentle breeze carrying the scent of Sakura blossoms through the air. As the Sakura Hashira, my affinity with these blossoms was not just symbolic—it was integral to my fighting style and my very being. Today, I had been paired with Kali, the Wisteria Pillar, and Milo, a promising young demon slayer, for a particularly challenging mission. We were tasked with hunting down a demon that had been terrorizing a nearby village. Reports suggested it was stronger and more cunning than most, a true test for even experienced slayers. Milo, though relatively new, had shown incredible promise and determination, and I was eager to see how he would fare alongside us. As we made our way through the dense forest towards the village, I glanced at Milo. His eyes were filled with a mix of determination and nervousness. It was clear that he understood the gravity of the mission. "Milo," I said gently, "remember to stay calm and focused. Trust in your training and in us. We are here to support you." He nodded, his grip tightening on his sword. "I understand, Eliza. I'll do my best." Kali walked alongside us, her presence a calming influence. "We'll be fine, Milo. Just remember what we've taught you." The village was eerily quiet when we arrived, the atmosphere heavy with fear and anticipation. The villagers had taken refuge indoors, leaving the streets deserted. As we walked through the narrow lanes, the sense of dread grew stronger. "We need to find the demon before it can cause more harm," I said, my eyes scanning our surroundings. "Stay alert." The air grew colder as we approached an abandoned house on the outskirts of the village. The scent of decay was thick, and an oppressive darkness seemed to emanate from within. Kali and I exchanged a knowing glance. "This is it," she said quietly. "Be ready." We entered the house, our senses on high alert. The interior was dimly lit, the furniture overturned and broken. It was clear that a struggle had taken place here. Suddenly, a low growl echoed through the room, sending a shiver down my spine. The demon emerged from the shadows, its eyes glowing with malevolence. It was larger than most demons we had faced, with long, sinewy limbs and sharp claws that glinted in the dim light. It let out a roar, the sound reverberating through the house. Kali and I moved into position, our swords at the ready. Milo stood between us, his eyes wide with determination. "Remember what we've taught you," I reminded him, my voice steady. "Stay focused." The demon lunged at us with terrifying speed, its claws slashing through the air. Kali met its attack head-on, her movements graceful and precise. The air filled with the scent of wisteria as she fought, her strikes swift and deadly. I moved in tandem with her, my blade shimmering with the pink hue of Sakura blossoms. Milo joined the fray, his strikes strong and determined. We fought as a cohesive unit, our attacks complementing each other in a deadly dance. The demon was relentless, unleashing a barrage of attacks with its claws and teeth. I dodged and parried, my muscles straining with the effort. Kali's movements were almost supernatural, her agility unmatched. Milo fought with everything he had, his determination unwavering. "Watch out, Milo!" I called, seeing the demon's claws heading straight for him. Milo turned just in time, blocking the attack with his sword. The impact reverberated through the room, but he stood his ground. With a burst of energy, he countered the demon's attack, driving it back. Seizing the opportunity, Kali and I launched a series of rapid strikes, our blades cutting through the air with deadly precision. The demon let out a final, anguished roar before collapsing to the ground, disintegrating into ash. The house fell silent once more, the only sound the heavy breathing of the three of us. I sheathed my sword, turning to Milo with a mixture of pride and approval. "You did well, Milo. You're becoming a true demon slayer." He managed a tired smile, his body aching from the battle. "Thanks, Eliza. I couldn't have done it without you and Kali." Kali placed a hand on his shoulder, her touch reassuring. "Remember, we're a team. We face these challenges together." As we made our way back to the village, the villagers emerged from their homes, their faces filled with gratitude and relief. We had saved them from the terror that had plagued their lives, and the sense of accomplishment was palpable. Milo's confidence had grown, his skills honed by the battle we had faced together. I knew he still had a long way to go, but with allies like Kali and myself by his side, I was confident he would continue to grow and excel. The journey as a demon slayer was filled with trials and dangers, but it was also filled with moments of triumph and growth. And with each battle, I knew we were becoming stronger, more determined to protect those we loved. The shadows may be ever-present, but so was our resolve. And with that, we were ready to face whatever lay ahead.
