"'Ellooo!" Vedika had slurred over the call. Back from her office party, where she had a little too much to drink, she sat on her sofa still dressed in her party dress — a black bodycon with a sleek cut on the cleavage — and for some reason thought, drunk dialing Neil at midnight was the best idea. In her defense, she had not talked to him all day because of his stupid meetings and was missing him a little too much.

"Hello? Are you.. Okay?" Neil had done a double take on the caller ID on hearing a slurry voice greet him.

"Never been the best! Hehe!" A giggle had followed, the one that gave away the fact that she was intoxicated. Neil thought if it was right to stay at the call knowing she was drunk and unhinged, were they that close yet? He had wondered, but nevertheless giving in to the temptation he had stayed.

"Are you drunk?" He had asked, even though he knew she was.

"Maybe." Another giggle, again.

"Right. How much did you drink?"

"Just enough to flirt with you." Neil's head that was resting upon the pedestal of his arm had slipped at the statement. With wide eyes, he had stared at his phone for a good few seconds not believing she was the same Vedika he was talking to, before coming back to senses.

"You're blushing, tell me you're blushing!" And with that Neil had received a request for a video call. Without wasting a second he accepted it, too excited to see her drunk face. He bet she must be glowing right now and boy was he right. Her whole face had a red hue cast over it, droopy eyes looked too sexy under the black smoky makeup they were adorned with and the pretty dress that her body was adorning had Neil in a chokehold of his hormones. Okay, damn.

"How do I look?" Vedika had excitedly asked, trying to twirl around to show him the dress.

"Breathtaking." He had replied, not realizing he was indeed holding a breath.

"I know right? I was born breathtaking!" She had flicked her hair over the shoulder, earning a hearty chuckle at her adorability. Neil's mischievous mind had by now switched on the screen recording, just in case she wanted to see her shenanigans tomorrow, he could have enough material to deliver.

In the next moment, he noticed how her smoky eyes were running up and down his body. With the camera's view she could only see until his torso, however, that didn't stop her from assaulting Neil's heart with compliments.

"Are these your night clothes?" She had mused. With a smile, he had nodded back at her, already feeling red by her intense gaze and a slight smirk dangling at the corner of her lips.
