Chapter Five
Yao grimaced as she looked at her paler complexion in the mirror of her bathroom and knew she was definitely sick, especially as she felt as if her throat was on fire. Biting her bottom lip, she shifted some as she debated on what to do before swallowing a grimace as she moved, checking underneath her sink for the extra cold medication that would not take away her symptoms but would help alleviate them and help her get through the day at least she hoped. She knew she should tell the others but she did not want to risk being ordered to sit out and let Yue play in the kick off game for her. That was not something she wanted to happen because she knew then it would give the board the right to say they were right and she needed to be replaced.
"Don't start giving me that look." muttered Yao as she warned her cat as Da Bing gave her a look of disapproval as she got dressed in her uniform. "I will ask to come straight home after the kick off game, okay? I will drink some tea and go straight to bed, I promise. So, don't rat me out." she huffed at her fur baby as the male huffed at her it seemed and before he rubbed up against her leg in comfort.

"She's not better, is she?" muttered Ming as he glanced to the side at Cheng as both had been keeping a keen eye on their Mid since she had come down stairs this morning."
"No she is not. In fact I think she is worse." replied Sicheng in a low cold tone as he narrowed his eyes as Jinyang, who was dressed in red, black and white cosplay, was finishing up Yao's make-up ensuring she lost her pale look. However, he was not damn well blind to the concern and worry that flashed in the woman's eyes as she hovered around Yao. And he was not blind to the fact that Da Bing was literally staying glued to his Mistress's side and refused to leave her for a moment, his posture and actions were more intense and protective than normal. Hell, the Main Coon had swiped his claws actually at his younger brother, who tried to be a teasing brat towards Yao and the feline had even hissed/growled at Rui as if even he knew who was responsible for the girl being sick in the first place.
"And something tells me that she will fight tooth and nail to play this match with us instead of sitting it out." remarked Ming with a slightly dry tone as Cheng sighed while nodding his head back to him before he frowned as he noted Yao winced slightly at the brightness of the room. "We need to keep an eye on her, I think with her being sick? She is going to have a harder time with bright lights and noise." he added underneath his breath as he noted Cheng narrowed his eyes coldly as he was watching their girl closely.
