As i took my clothes off like the teacher instructed
While the other kids did the same
We changed into big puffy gowns
To take graduation pictures
At the time i didn't know what was happening
I was living the moment
As i played with my big puffy pink dress
My mom watching me as a wide smile was plastered on her face
At the time I didn't realize
But as i looked back
She had that look of happiness watching me get those pictures taken
It was clear what she was feeling and what she was sating in her head
"Oh how time goes by so fast,my child is going up to grade 1 in a blink of an eye"
But which kid understood how time worked
I didn't even know the year or what months it was
I couldn't even count to 20 properly
It always went like this
"One two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen nineteen twenty eleven twelve"
Yeah i was a dumb girl
