His silent ways

Chapter 1

Minsan ano nga ba ang rason para lumalaban? Even when it is already too exhausting, even when it is no longer worth the risk.

"What happened?"

rinig kong tanong ng katabi ko habang umiinom ng alak. Nasa bar kami ngayon, ako ang nag-aya.

"He happened" saad ko at inisang lagok ang alak na hawak.

I heard my friend, Aliesha snorted.

"I already told you to let him go but you never do it" she said, rolling her eyes.

napaka maldita talaga.

"Para kang nakikipaglaro, Neve" saad naman ni Aza habang nakatingin ng matiim saakin, na nginisihan ko lang.

naalala ko na naman ang rason kung bakit ako nag-aya ng inuman sa tatlo kong kaibigan.

The freaking guy cheated behind my back, it's something that was too unacceptable to me.

I feel offended, like hello? It's Nevada here? The one and only Grand Daughter of one of the biggest families here in Cagayan. Tapos lolokohin lang ako sa likuran ko? The audacity!
The pain was replace with the feeling of being offended. Nakaka suka, bat nga ba pinoproblema ko siya e di naman siya worth it?

"Tsk. Let's just enjoy guys, this biatch deserves a fun night!" saad ko saka ngumisi, agad namang natawa ang tatlong kasama ko.

"Let's go to the dance floor!"

We enjoyed the whole night, swaying and getting wasted as if we won't suffer from severe hangover the next day.

The loud noise of the alarm woke me up, last night was too messed up. There are scenes that I could remember but it is too blurred. Agad ko namang ininda ang sakit ng ulo dahil sa dami ng ininom ko.

Di na talaga iinom!

Saka ko lang narealize na hindi ko kwarto ang kinaroroonan ko. I quickly checked my outfit from last night and heaved a sigh in relief when I see that it was still the same.

Agad ko namang inobserbahan ang kwartong kinaroroonan ko. The walls are painted with silver paint, there is also a study table next to the bed. There are paintings, small figurines, acoustic and ukulele guitar and even lots of books. There are three doors in this room.

I quickly got up and opened each door. The first door was for the bathroom, the other is for the closet. When I reached the last door, it reveals me the hallway.

Agad akong lumabas ng kwarto at naglakad ng hall, bumungad naman ang kitchen at living room. I guess condo ang kinaroroonan ko ngayon.

"Oh you're awake." Nagulat naman ako nang magsalita ang lalaking nakaharap na ngayon sakin habang nakahawak ng dalawang baso. He was standing across the island counter.

Sino ito?

He was wearing an apron, I can tell that he just finished cooking dahil kitang kita ko ang mga nagamit nitong palayok sa sink.

"Uh hi, yeah. I was about to go naman na, Thank you for letting me stay here last night" saad ko saka tipid na ngumiti.

"Eat your breakfast nalang muna, Miss Neve. Ihahatid nalang kita after, by the way, your things is in the living room including your phone. Chinarge ko na din pala, Don't worry wala akong kinuha" litanyang saad nito. Confusion was etched into my face as I heard him say my name. Paano niya alam eh hindi naman kami magkakilala nito?

"Oh I saw your Id sa wallet mo noong inaayos ko gamit mo, I'm Aiden nga pala" saad nito habang nakangiti.

He seems fine naman and mind you! He is like a Greek God. He is tall, his body has a built, maybe nag g-gym siya. His hair was black, messy and tousled, subtle waves and was in a clean cut. His eyes were in Amber colors, his gaze were giving a hint of warmth but was intense and piercing. He has chiseled features, strong jawline and sharp cheekbones. His full lips was curved like a bow. He have a straight nose, proportional to his face. His skin was like smooth, sun-kissed complexion with a subtle golden Tan.

"Uhmm Miss Neve? Kain na po tayo, may pasok pa kasi ako mamaya. Para na rin makaligo kana pagkahatid ko sayo" he softly said and turned hi back on me.

Agad kong naramdaman ang pamumula nang mukha ko nang mapagtanto kong napatitig ako sakaniya kanina. Ngumiti ako ng palihim saka dumiretso sa table at nagsimulang kumain matapos niyang dasalan ang mga ito.
