'Shit, I forgot my umbrella.' I cursed in my head.
I heard footsteps approach from behind and the sound of an umbrella opening.
"Let's go, I'll take you home." I turned around and saw...
"Haku." I spoke.
The sound of pitter-pattering echoed throughout my ear. A comfortable silence settled pretty early on the walk.
"Thanks for the help, Haku-kun" I thanked him as we continued walking on the sidewalk, heading towards my home.
"No problem." He shot a small smile in my direction.
When we arrived at my apartment, he asked me a question.
"Do you mind if I stay here for the night?" A sheepish smile plastered on his shy expression.
During the length of our journey, the rain gradually got worse and currently it's already pouring hard. I felt a sense of guilt rush through my mind.
'He already let me share his umbrella with him and walked me home, I should let him stay.'
"Sure, I don't mind." I replied.
After that, we got inside of my apartment and warmed up from the cold rain. After a few minutes we began discussing where one of us will sleep.
"I'll sleep on the floor, you can take my bed." I told Haku.
"No, I'll sleep on the floor. It's your home and your bed." He tried to insist.
"You're my guest, it's only fair that I let you have the bed."
"But I've already inconvenienced you by staying in your apartment."
"But you already shared your umbrella and walked me home."
We spend almost 2 minutes going back and forth arguing over who uses my bed until he suggested an idea that almost made me faint.
"How about we share your bed?" Haku-kun said.
I felt the heat rush up to my cheeks.
'Sleeping in a bed!? With him!?'
"Hey you ok?" He asks.
"Yeah" 'No.'
My mind and my mouth gave conflicting answers.
"So shall we share the bed?" Without thinking I responded to him with a,
"Sure, I'll get a towel for you." I rushed away from the situation with flushed cheeks.
I placed a hand over my heart which is beating so fast.
'What's happening?' I was lightly freaking out.
'I've never been this way with him before.'
*Haku's POV*
'He was really red, cheeks flushed, and he agreed to share the bed. He's so cute! I can't believe that the day where I get to be close with him would ever come but here it is now.' I thought.
He just left the room a minute ago but I already want to see him again. I've liked him for a while now. This little crush began when I started noticing his adorable behavior with his co-workers (which includes me).
He likes to leave little sticky notes around the office with motivating messages to keep everyone's spirits up.
Whenever he puts his past-shoulder length hair up, he looks so pretty.
His radiant smile that lights up the room.
And one of the things I like most about him is the hard-working personality he had. He always tries to find a way to solve a situation but he's also not afraid to ask for help when he needs it. He gets the job done.
