Hey munchkins, so here is the update for this week. Hope you enjoy.
A/N POV
As the day went on Mugdha couldn't concentrate on anything happening around her as she was too digged up in her thoughts.
She was desperate to know whether what insecurities Nidhi had to avoid such man who was behind her. This matter made her think too bad that she forgot about hers that just started
At the end of the day she decided to meet Nidhi before leaving. As she walked towards the CEO cabin she came across Madhu near the canteen.
Hoping to find answers for her doubts from her friend she approached Madhu who was having a coffee.
In the cozy cafe, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. Mugdha and Madhu sit at a corner table, their drinks steaming in front of them.
Mugdha was stirring her coffee absentmindedly and started to talk to Madhu "You know, there’s something about Nidhi that really intrigues me. I can’t quite put my finger on it."
She said gaining Madhu thoughts who was into her coffee. She snapped her head to look at her friend expression.
Madhu raising an eyebrow and questions "Intrigues you? Or something else entirely? Why do you seem to think too much?"
"No, really. I think it’s her insecurities. I feel like if I could understand them, I might understand her better. There’s this connection I can't shake off, even though I've only known her for a couple of days." Mugdha replies with a deep sigh and takes a sip of her hot coffee relaxing her a bit.
"I get it. Sometimes you can just sense the weight someone carries." Madhu said leaning in as she understood her friend's dilemma.
" I don’t know Madhu… maybe it’s the way she avoids talks about her past. There's a certain vulnerability in her voice. It makes me want to unravel her story." Mugdha put her intentions out to Madhu.
Madhu replied nodding " She did seem a bit guarded when we first met her. You know she was hesitant around our boys"
Mugdha frowned and said "Exactly! And that little glimpse of her life the way she brushes over her achievements and downplays her struggles… it's like she’s hiding a whole part of herself."
"It’s tough to open up, especially when your past has been challenging. Do you think she’ll ever share that with us?" Madhu said sipping her coffee
" I hope so. I want her to feel safe enough to talk about it. Perhaps it’s something she’s never been able to let go of." Mugdha replied sounding determined enough.
Madhu asked gently "Have you tried to ask her directly?"
"Not yet. I don’t want to push her too hard. But I can’t help but feel a connection. What if she needs someone to talk to but doesn’t know how?" Mugdha said shaking her head with a sigh.
Madhu encouraged her "Then maybe you should share a little about yourself too."
"You’re right. Maybe if I open up, she’ll feel comfortable enough to do the same. I just want to understand her to show her she's not alone. You know she has us all. Although not close but maybe we can be her support." Mugdha said nodding
"I think that’s a beautiful intention, Mugdha. Just be patient. People unfold in their own time." Madhu smiled agreeing to her
Mugdha replied smiling back "I will. I just hope she knows that whatever her insecurities are, there’s no judgment with us."
After a heartfelt conversation with Madhu, Mugdha felt confident and light. She pursued back to meet Nidhi.
She reached the CEO cabin and nocked the door to hear an approval from Nidhi.
Mugdha entered to see Nidhi and Sarayu in a discussion. She smiled at them and sat on the recliner at a corner waiting for them to complete.
She messaged her mom that she would be a little late. As the discussion came to end Sarayu left in hurry.
Nidhi face itched with irritation and tension. Mugdha slowly initiated the conversation by normal day conversations and slowly turned the topic towards personal life.
Sensing the topic Nidhi tried to brush off the topic but Mugdha seemed persistent to know the truth.
"Please ma I don't wanna talk about it,you know I don't feel good" Nidhi said trying to divert the topic.
"Are you uncomfortable about the topic or perhaps because it is me. Nidhi I feel a good sisterly bond with you just over the few days"
Mugdha continued " I think I know the person whom you are avoiding. I don't know but there is a unsettling feeling in me about you. Your eyes tell me a different story. I never felt this uncertainty with any friend in the past" She put her thoughts.
Mugdha looked up only to find Nidhi trying to hide her tears and immediately approached her. "Hey I am sorry. I won't ask anything sorry about it" Mugdha apologized.
"No it's not about it. You will know about it initially. Don't worry." She continued " And about him yes he is the same you think. Gautam...."
"Gautam Singhania. The light of my life. He cheered for me when all were back biting about me. I know I am breaking his heart but it also breaks me" Nidhi confessed.
"Then why don't you go to him. I know him. He is waiting for you di. Please listen to your heart for once" Mugdha suggested Nidhi.
Nidhi said shaking her head in disapproval " I don't think your family would accept me. It's hard to survive in a family who won't accept you with hearts"
"I know not only me but it is affecting even my sisters life, but maybe this isy fate" She said and left without waiting for Mugdha to react.
Mugdha was in dilemma why wouldn't her family accept Nidhi. She stepped out to see Sarayu at the door with tears in her eyes.
Sarayu royally hid her eyes but Mugdha noticed it but didn't want to push this topic further.
"Sarayu di. Ahmm ah that ahmm.. Tom.. Tomorrow I am not attending the uni. Ah.. Woh actually a family pooja will be held so.. Di are you listening" She budged Sarayu who seemed to realize something.
" Ok. Okay ya I will inform Nidhi " She cut the conversation short. They both dispersed in their own ways each with their thoughts piling up in mind.
Immersed in all this choas she forgot that she wanted to have a word to Aki and the others that she won't be attending the next day.
Reaching home she took a hot water bath and let all the thoughts slip her mind and decided that she would talk to Gautam who would be coming to her house tonight itself for tomorrow.
