𝐶𝑈𝑇 𝑆𝐶𝐸𝑁𝐸𝑆 𝐹𝑅𝑂𝑀 "𝐸𝑁𝐷 𝑂𝑅 𝑁𝐸𝑊 𝑆𝑇𝐴𝑅𝑇?"

Three weeks before the birthday.

I was pushed down stairs into the basement of the house. The tears streamed down my cheeks
My eyes we're locked on the man upstairs. He shut the doors down and left me alone.
I raised my hand to my head and felt a warm liquid. I cried for what seemed 30 minutes. My vision got blurry because of the blood lost. I wanted to laugh because of the fact that I'm about to pass out. These two people were always abusive but only at my birthdays they acted nice.
Soon enough my vision got black and I passed out, but before that two names escaped my lips.
"Dawn... Asteri..."
The darkness surrounded me.
After few hours I woke up. I looked around and got a bit confused of the view of basement but then remembered. I heard screaming upstairs. Two of them was females voices, another two was man and woman too. I heard a shouting that was more like an ice in the coolest winter. Dawn.. What is she was doing here. Suddenly the doors opened and some light came in.
"Dawn she's here!" I heard the voice of Asteri.
I looked up at her and she rushed down to me. Asteri fall on her knees and looked at me with horror. My vision got blurred again. She said something and shaked me but I couldn't hear a single thing. I fell into darkness over again.
"Darcelle! Wake up!!" Asteri kept shaking my not responsive body.
The blood ran over my pale face.

Third person POV.

Her face was covered in blood that still kept running down her head. Asteri kept shouting her name and shaking her.
"Darcy wake up.. Please"
Asteri's  got the sadness in it. After what seemed like eternity Dawn rushed down and fall on her knees seeing the scene.
"DARCY"
A scream left her throat. She reached for her. With a nod she let Asteri stand up. Slowly standing up Dawn lifted Darcelle.
"Let's go.."
She said. Asteri nodded and walked upstairs. Dawn managed to stop the bleeding a bit, but it can start again anytime soon. With a firm grip Dawn got upstairs and out of the house.
Dawn looks worried. "What do we do...?!" Asteri sighs. "I'm gonna go look for help! Make sure she doesn't take any more damage!" Asteri runs away to look for someone as if a doctor or someone who has been in the medical field would miraculously appea-

"𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎 𝐌𝐒!"

"Erm... Hi?" Asteri tilts her head in confusion. "Look, do you know any doctors not so far from here?! It's really urgent!" Asteri asks. The man in a hood smiles. "Why, I have been in the medical field myself! Maybe I could be of assistance?" Asteri smiles, with hope in her eyes. "Thankyou! Come along!"

Asteri starts running back to where Dawn and Darcelle are. Dawn sees Asteri and smiles. "You found someone?!" Asteri nods. "Yes! Thankfully!" Dawn sighs in relief. "Thank the gods!" The man heard that and laughed. "Yeah..." When the man saw Darcelle, he looks shocked. "By the gods..." Asteri looks confused. "Huh? What's wrong? Is something the matter?" He shook his head no. "No, don't mind me..."

He starts bandaging up her wounds properly, and sometimes even secretly using a bit of magic to help! When he was done, he gives Asteri a pill. "Give her these when she wakes up. It should help with the dizziness" Asteri takes it and smiles. "Thankyou! How can we ever repay you???"

The man smiles. "Just... Leave some gifts for the god Apollo in one of his temples. I'll be off now, goodbye and take care!" The man left smiling.

While the man was walking away, he thought to himself. "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞... 𝐈 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬..." The man took off his hood and revealed it was Apollo himself. The God Of The Sun.

Back to the normal POV.

I woke up my head hurted like hell. I looked around and the surprise hit me. I wasn't home. I looked to the side and saw Asteri and Dawn. They both stayed here all these hours when I was passed out. I tried to sit up.
"Let me help you"
I looked at Asteri. She wasn't sleeping. She helped me to sit up and gave me a pill and a cup of water.
"Drink it. It will help with dizziness"
I took the pill and cup with water. In one motion I gulped the pill and water. Asteri looked at me and sat by my side.
"What happened?"
"You passed out when I and Dawn saw you. You were loosing blood quickly so we had to get you out. Dawn managed to stop the bleeding for a bit but we still needed to find someone that might help."
I looked at Dawn to find her place empty.
"Where is she?" I asked.
Asteri looked at at the place where was Dawn before.

Dawn POV.

I sneak out unnoticed. I had to go and find that man. Not finding him anywhere near I teleported to Olympus. The gods and goddesses nodded at me and I nodded back at them.
With quick steps I went to a place where I knew I can find him. And there he was.
"Apollo"
My voice cut the silence around.
Uncle Apollo turned to me and smiles. "Ah, Dawn! What a lovely surprise! How can I help you?" I cross my arms. "Why did you help Darcelle?" Uncle Apollo put a finger under his chin. "Ah, so that's her name... That woman with you two kept calling her Darcy or Dar-" "IT'S A NICKNAME!!! Also, I appreciate and am thankful that you helped my best friend but... Why we're you there?"

Uncle Apollo smirks. "Is it a crime to visit the humans, dear niece?" I roll my eyes. "It isn't, but I was just shocked!" Uncle Apollo came up to me and patted my head. "Just be greatful I helped you, dear... It's not often you see your Uncle Apollo!" Dawn sighs. "Yeah, your right... Thanks Uncle... Without you, Darc would have been... Well... I don't know, I guess still badly injured!"

Uncle Apollo grins. "Good! Now, is that all?" I nod. "Yup... That's all... Thankyou, Uncle! Goodby-" "Actually..." I turn back to him. "Huh?"

Uncle Apollo looks at me with a curious smile. "Who was that lady with you?" I look confused. "You mean... Asteri?" Apollo looks down. "Asteri... Thankyou, Dawn! That will be all! Safe traveeeels!"

Uncle Apollo said. I waved goodbye to him and headed back. "Strange..."
I walked to my father. He was with Zeus.
"Father, Lord Zeus." I bowed.
My father smiled and nodded. I raised and smiled.
"Hello my dear daughter"
My father said and held his hand out for me. I took his hand and he pulled me into a hug.
"Dad... Why humans so cruel to each other's.." My voice broke down.
Zeus looked at us and he was smiling seeing the bond between me and my father.
I pulled away from the embrace and looked at them.
"I need to go. Bye"
I said and waved them before running away.

Back to Darcy.

I looked at Asteri as she told me everything that happened.
"So the man helped you and told us to leave some gifts for Apollo in one of his temples."
With a nod I sipped some more water. The doors opened and I looked at it. Dawn stood there looking at me. After several seconds she sprinted to me and pulled me into a tight hug.
"Darcy you have to tell us what happened."
"Nothing serious. Just as always they didn't wanted to give me food so I took some without their permission. He pushed me down stairs to basement and that's how I got the injury."
"You lost much blood. And they held you in the basementtill the morning?!" Asteri's voice raised.
I looked down and nodded.
Asteri looked pissed. "This is insane!!! You are 16, I know us women mostly you young ones are constantly looked down upon, but they should have at least a law about child abuse and women rights!" Darcelle sighs. "Well, that's life as a woman for you..."

Asteri sighs. "Hey... Do you want me to make you something to eat? I'm sure you must be hungry!" Asteri smiles. I smile at her and nod. She stood up and starts walking towards the door. "Make sure to rest... And Dawn? Do you mind keeping her company while I make the food?" Dawn smiles and nods. "Alright"

And she left leaving me and Dawn alone. I needed rest... So I laid back down and started drifting to sleep...

Asteri's POV:

I am quite the resourceful person, so I took whatever I could lay my hands on and somehow turned it into edible soup. I read books about mushrooms, so I picked some I found edible and plopped them in. Also adding vegetables and a bit of meat. And there I had it! I should add this to my recipe book!

I transfered the soup into three bowls and carried them upstairs using a wooden tray. Thank the gods my mother taught me how to cook or else I wouldn't have been able to feed the two lovable girls upstairs!
