Darcelle's POV.

I was in the kitchen making some tea for myself and my friends. I smiled when I saw Asteri teaching Dawn new moves. The man had left after he and Dawn let each other's from hug. I opened the window to let some fresh air in. With low humming I made the tea and started making some snacks.

I was cutting some cheese and other meals. I looked up through the window seeing the sun that were setting down. The day came to an end. I walked to the doors and called for these two.
"Girls time to head back inside. Night is coming"

Asteri nodded to me and started walking with Dawn. I went inside and placed the cups with tea on the table.

I cleaned the table after we ate. Putting cups in sink I looked through the window and a small smile appeared on my face. The night so peaceful and calm.
"Well time to go to bed" Asteri said and yawned. "Tomorrow will be another day of training"

I nodded and smiled. These two is like sisters to me. I hummed my response.
"I will clean the dishes and then go to bed." I hummed.
They both nodded and walked to their bedrooms.

I cleaned everything up and carefully walked outside. The night wind played with my hair. The sound of waved meeting the land was calming. I sat on the sand and listened to the soft and calm sounds.

After what seemed an hour I stood up and cleaned the sand from myself. Within several minutes u was inside the cottage. I closed the doors behind me and went to my bedroom.

I climbed in my bed and covered myself with blankets falling into the dreamless sleep.

Narrator POV:

Asteri and Dawn were outside. Asteri decided to use a... Different strategy... All Asteri's life, her father told her a mortal woman could not fight, nor become a soldier in the war, she vowed to prove him wrong. Of course, that dream never came true... Yet.

But she still trained. And now, she wanted to teach Dawn everything. AND what gave her the determination that made her driven to fighting.

𝐃𝐎 𝐈𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐘/𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄

"Alright, everything begins with your stance! Remember... You do it for her! And you would do it again! You do it for him, that is to say... You'll do it for her?"

Asteri looks at Dawn to see if she was paying attention. And she was! They both smile at each other.

"Keep your stance wide! Keep your body lowered... As you're moving forward... Balance is the key!" Dawn copied the movements Asteri wanted her to memorize.

Asteri then starts checking if Dawn followed and memorized her orders. "Right foot, left foot! Now go even faster! And as you're moving backwards... 𝐊𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐄..."

Then, Dawn repeats what Asteri said. "Keep my stance wide!" Asteri smiles. "Good!" "Keep my body lowered!" Dawn said. "Right!!" "As I'm moving forward-" "CONCENTRATE!!! Don't you want her to live?"

"Right foot, left foot!" Dawn says. "Yes, but put your whole body into it! Everything you have, everything you are... You've got to give!"

Asteri then pulls out the book she gave Darcelle. She starts telling the story when her village was attacked by demons.
