Vivi arrived at the park where they always met. When she got there, as always, Crow was waiting for her, sitting on the same bench as always, only this time it was nighttime, everything was dark except for the streetlights that lit up the little path that crossed the park. Vivi slowly approached the bench and sat next to Crow.
—Have you done it?
Vivi asked after a few seconds of silence and waited for her friend's answer. There was a silence between the two that seemed eternal, although it was only about five seconds.
—Yes.
Upon hearing the answer, Vivi asked to try to get more information.
—Well?
There was another silence, but this time shorter.
—He's gone.
Vivi was surprised by Crow's dry answer.
—What do you mean he's gone? And where? If I may ask.
Vivi answered in a tone that was now less calm and more nervous and worried.
—He's gone, to heaven I suppose.
He didn't give me any more explanations.
Crow said this with a tone as serious as always, but this time there was a certain sadness in his voice, it seemed as if he had a lump in his throat and at any moment he would start crying, something unthinkable for a demon, right?
—But, what did you do? Did you say anything else?
Vivi was starting to worry, she had never seen her friend like this, she knew that he had been in the human world for a long time and that he had acquired certain habits, but this was different.
—No, I just kissed him and told him that I had always loved him.
—And he left? Without saying anything else to you.
—I'm afraid so, he only told me that he couldn't betray God and that because of that he couldn't run away with me.
—Maybe heaven was watching him, after all he is an angel.
—If he weren't so devout, if only he thought more about himself and not just about that God and his mission as an angel, only then could we have run away and be happy, both of us, without belonging to any side, neither to heaven nor to hell, just to our own side, Crow and Azi's.
Vivi remained silent as she placed her hand on her friend's shoulders to comfort him.
—I know he loves you, I've seen it Crow, when you look at each other you give off a kind of feeling towards each other as if you wanted to tell each other a million things just with your gaze, it seems like you were predestined from creation, when your souls look at each other it's as if you connected instantly.
—Yes, but all that doesn't matter because I'm a demon and he's an angel, it's impossible for us to be together. Azi will always prefer heaven over me.
—Look Crow, you two have known each other since the beginning, from the moment this entire universe was created, you've been together ever since, you know each other better than anyone else, ever since I was sent to the human world I've been able to observe you and as time passed by your side I began to understand the feelings you had for each other, feelings that not even you yourselves are able to understand, when Azi looks at you he feels as if all his fears have vanished, he feels like he's at home even though it's not a physical space, he feels like he's safe and when you look at him you feel like you're with the only person who understands you and appreciates you just the way you are despite your flaws, you feel as if your existence had a meaning beyond your mission as a demon, I sense love between you, it's a feeling so great that I'm sure it can't be broken by Azi's fear, I know that even though Azi is afraid to face the love he feels, because it's a feeling he can't control, in the end he'll end up understanding that above all else he wants to be with you,  and will come back for you.
