"Okay, and you're sure you have your passport?" Y/n asks, her voice filled with worry."Oh my god, yes, I've shown it three times already. It won't just disappear into thin air," Charlie rolls her eyes, the annoyance in her little voice not restrained at all.
Y/n sighs, giving her sister an apologetic smile. "Sorry, sorry, I know. Traveling just stresses me out."
"Yeah, I noticed," Charlie leans over to nudge her arm, an amused smile now portrayed on her lips.
Y/n takes a deep breath, trying to calm the anxious pit in her stomach. They were sitting in an Uber to LAX — today was the day. It hadn't taken long after her mail to Mindy, that two new ones popped up: travel confirmations for the first-class flight they were heading to right now, an unexpected luxury she hadn't allowed herself to even hope for. She wasn't used to being taken care of like this; so much of the past few years had been about managing on her own, stretching herself thin. She was always the caretaker. But for once, it felt like someone else was saying 'Let us take care of this for you'.
But still, getting herself and Charlie on this flight safely and in time was her responsibility and she was stressing the hell out. She had checked everything a trillion times before leaving their house, but especially with Charlie's medicine, she couldn't shake the feeling she was forgetting something. And she knew that if anything would happen to Charlie on this trip, they couldn't just rush to their hospital, with their doctors, who knew exactly how to take care of Charlie, and this was definitely fueling her protective side over her even more, if that was possible.
"Y/n, come on!" Charlie's voice pulled Y/n out of her thoughts, and she startled. Only now she realized the Uber had come to a stop and Charlie was already out of the car. She hastily got out too, walking to the back of the car to help the driver unload their admittedly pretty extensive amount of bags for a five-day trip. But she just couldn't take any chances.
They said their goodbyes, and a moment later it was just her and Charlie, standing in front of the giant, intimidating building that would help them escape their cruel reality for a few days.
Charlie clutched her hand in excitement, and Y/n was thankful for her, managing to pull her out of her worries for just a moment. This is good, she thought, just focus on that.

Jenna's heart was practically doing a drumroll inside her chest as she paced the floor of the VIP lounge at Dublin Airport, casting a glance at the door every few seconds. The lounge was quiet, polished, and a little too perfect, making her feel even more on edge. She'd arrived a full thirty minutes too early and had spent the last twenty-five alternating between pacing, checking her phone, and taking deep breaths that did absolutely nothing to calm her down. Her foot tapped a frantic rhythm on the spotless floor, and she smoothed her clammy hands over her jeans — which earned her an amused grin from Fynn, her bodyguard and friend, who was waiting with her and knew Jenna well enough to tell how on edge she was.
This wasn't her first Make-A-Wish, but this one felt... different. She'd been in on every little detail, obsessing over the emails and plans, staying up far too late crushing her head about how to make this experience feel like more than just a meet-and-greet. Jenna wanted magic, the kind of memory that would pull them out of their everyday life and into something more sanctuary, even if just for a few days. She found herself picturing the sisters constantly, wondering what they'd be like. Her mind ran with a dozen little stories of who they were, what they loved, and she'd barely been able to stop herself from calling Mindy a hundred times to get more details.
