On this particular Sunday, the household was bustling with activity. Blaze and Cyclone were in the backyard, tending to their chicken coop. Solar was busy in his laboratory, trying to perfect his latest invention. The earthquake went out to get groceries.

Thunderstorm was in his room, trying to avoid social interactions. Thorn, with his beloved pitcher plant in hand, wandered around the house, seeking someone to talk to.

As Thorn approached Thunderstorm's room, he excitedly showed him the pitcher plant and began chattering about his latest discovery. Thunderstorm, however, was not interested. "Thorn, can't you see I'm busy?" he growled, his short temper flaring up.

Thorn, oblivious to Thunderstorm's annoyance, continued talking. Thunderstorm finally snapped, "Thorn, go to your room and leave me alone!" The sudden outburst made Thorn shiver, and he quickly retreated to his room, pitcher plant in hand.

He lay down, feeling a bit hurt, and eventually fell asleep, the plant beside him.

As the hours ticked by, the silence in the house was only punctuated by the occasional sob and muffled whisper from Thorn's room.

Thunderstorm, who had been resting in his own room, was stirred by the sounds and decided to investigate. He got up and made his way to Thorn's room, following the faint sounds of distress.

As he approached the door, the sounds grew louder, and Thunderstorm's concern deepened. He gently pushed open the door and was met with a sight that tugged at his heartstrings.

Thorn's room was a veritable greenhouse, with plants of all shapes and sizes crowding the space. But it was Thorn himself who drew Thunderstorm's attention.

Thorn lay on his bed, his body shaking with sobs, his eyes streaming with tears. His expression was one of utter despair, and Thunderstorm could sense the depth of his pain. Thorn was speaking, but his words were indistinct, lost in his anguish.

Thunderstorm approached Thorn's bedside and gently placed a hand on his back. Thorn's eyes flickered open, but he seemed to be in a daze, his gaze unfocused. He reached out and wrapped his arms around Thunderstorm, holding him tightly, as if he were a lifeline.

" Dad...dad...don't leave me...no one loves me...dad..." Thorn's words were broken and muffled, but they pierced Thunderstorm's heart.

He held Thorn close, trying to comfort him, even as he wondered what had brought about this torrent of grief. Thorn's tears flowed freely, soaking into Thunderstorm's shirt, but he didn't seem to notice. He just held on, his grip tightening as he poured out his sorrow.

Thunderstorm stroked his back, whispering words of comfort, trying to calm the storm raging within Thorn.

As the moments passed, Thorn's sobs gradually subsided, replaced by ragged breathing. His grip on Thunderstorm relaxed, and he seemed to drift off to sleep, still clinging to him.

Thunderstorm held him close, his own eyes stinging with unshed tears. The two of them slept like that, wrapped in each other's arms, until Earthquake arrived, drawn by the sounds of distress.

He peeked into Thorn's room and smiled, seeing the peaceful scene before him. He decided to let them sleep, undisturbed, a sense of warmth spreading through his chest.

As the night wore on, the house grew quiet once more, the only sound the soft rustling of plants in Thorn's room. But in that room, something had shifted, a bond forged in the fire of sorrow and comfort.

Thunderstorm and Thorn slept on, wrapped in each other's embrace, a sense of peace settling over them like a mantle. In that moment, it seemed that even the plants in Thorn's room were watching over them, their leaves rustling softly in approval.

The storm had passed, and in its wake, a sense of calm had settled, a sense of love and connection that would stay with them long after the night had faded.
