Way decided that the best course of action would be to investigate things for himself...
For one, he didn't want to push his luck with the amount of control he could exert on Pete, and for another, he didn't think he would be able to believe anything unless he saw it with his own eyes.
So once he figured out that Pete had left the house for the company, he sneaked out in the hope that he could get around and see things for himself.
That was how he found himself in front of his own house, which was abandoned and most likely wracked.
He pushed the door and was surprised when the door opened with a creak that suggested that it had been a while since it was last opened.
Everything inside was just like Way remembered it, or rather left it...
He walked to his bedroom, there was a layer of dust on every surface in the house, further proof that no one had set foot in the house for months...
He shook memories off his own head, reaching his wardrobe in the hope that he could pick some of his clothes from it.
He saw a set of documents sitting at the bottom of one of the shelves, He pulled them out expecting them to be the deeds for his house and the garage, only to see that they were files...
Institute files...
Files that had no business being there.

Pete sat in the chair looking at his hands as he waited for someone to lead Kenta to the visitation room.
Kenta frowned when he saw him, rolling his eyes before he sat next to him on the bench.
"I did tell you not to come again..."
Pete shook his head, a smirk on his face.
"I have something to ask you, and I need to talk to you for a bit."
Kenta raised an eyebrow.
"What thing?"
"Do you know if Tony found a way to prolong his life in any way?"
Kenta frowned a hint of doubt in his eyes.
"What kind of question is that? What made you think about that now?"
Pete shrugged.
"Just asking..."
"You don't just ask, Pete... What made you think about that? He is dead, I killed him..."
Pete didn't want to get a rise out of Kenta without solid proof of his concerns, But there was a living and breathing - presumeingly - dead Way in his house.
"Like Charlie was dead?"
Kenta frowned, falling silent.
"In part, he almost died, from what I understand, but you saying that..., are you trying to imply that he is alive...That would mean..."
"That you didn't kill him, that you were led to believe that so you could be locked away here, but other than this, it would also mean that it had been a trap through and through..."
Kenta shook his head, Pete could almost see him shaking the hope off his shoulders.
"What makes you think that he might have tried to trick us?"
"Something... You won't believe me..."
"Try me, I don't have anything better to do for the time being..."
"Way is alive..."
Kenta looked at him without a reaction for a bit of time before he started laughing...
