Aoom was now an imposing figure in the complex and dangerous network of the Thai underworld. With a reputation that preceded her presence, she commanded respect and fear in equal measure. Her eyes were cold and calculating, her mind was always alert, and her heart, they said, did not exist.
It was a hot and muggy afternoon in Bangkok. The sun beat down mercilessly on the alleys and narrow streets of the neighborhood where Aoom had gone to conduct business. Her henchmen, burly and grim-faced men, followed her closely, aware that any slip-up could be fatal. The black cars, symbols of power and opulence, snaked through the alleys at high speed, causing residents to quickly move out of the way when they recognized them.
Suddenly, something caught Aoom's attention. There she was, a young girl with angelic beauty, skin as white as snow, black hair that contrasted with the light of day, and a smile that could illuminate even the darkest corners of the soul. Aoom felt her heart race, a phenomenon she hadn't experienced in years.
— Stop the car! — She ordered the driver, her voice firm. Her bodyguard and the driver looked at each other in confusion, but the car stopped. Aoom watched intently as the young girl helped an older woman carry heavy bags. There was something about the way she moved, the gentleness in her gestures, that mesmerized Aoom.
— Ben, follow those two and John can tell the others to continue collecting debts without me. — Aoom said, her gaze fixed on the two women who were now turning the corner.
And so it was done, the other two cars passed, while the driver turned around and began following them at a safe distance, careful not to arouse suspicion. Aoom wasn't sure what attracted her so much to that young woman, but she was determined to find out.
The streets of Bangkok were a labyrinth of stories and secrets, each alley told a different story. The car slid silently, and Aoom couldn't take her eyes off the girl. Finally, the two women arrived at a small, humble house. Aoom memorized the place, planning her next steps with precision. She needed to know more about the girl, to find out everything she could.
Back at her house, Aoom couldn't get the young woman out of her head. There was something pure and untouched about that girl that contrasted drastically with the corrupt and violent world Aoom lived in. She felt an urgent need to protect her, to take her away from that harsh reality and offer her something better, even if it meant involving her in her own web of dangers.
Aoom began stalking the girl whenever she could, slowly gathering all the information about the young woman. She discovered the girl's name: Meena 'How is that possible? Even her name is beautiful' Aoom thought to herself. She also learned that she was in school and had just turned 17. She lived with her mother, who worked day and night as a cleaner to support the house.
Meena and her mother's daily struggles touched Aoom in ways she hadn't expected. The reality of these two women was a stark contrast to the opulence and power Aoom had known. Yet at the same time, there was a strength and resilience in Meena that drew her irresistibly. Aoom discovered that Meena was as intelligent and kind as she was beautiful.
With each passing day, Aoom's determination to protect and win Meena grew stronger. But Aoom knew that her world was dangerous, and involving Meena in it could be fatal.
She would have to be cautious, plan her every move with precision, and above all, protect Meena at all costs. The fates of the two women were about to intertwine in ways neither of them could have foreseen, and Aoom was determined to ensure that no matter what happened, Meena would be safe.
As the days passed, Aoom couldn't get Meena out of her head. Ever since she followed the young woman home, the image of the beautiful girl had been on her mind. Determined to make contact and meet Meena, Aoom decided that the best way would be through the young woman's mother, Rassami.
